No your problem is that you don't want people to hear about these bugs with RC4.  Nobody but the cheerleaders go to darkcointalk, everyone else comes here.  You guys want to paint a picture of a perfect RC4 rollout.  Well it doesn't exist.

Are you for real? Seriously? We are "trying to paint a picture of perfect RC4 rollout"? With 10 patches and quite a number of bugs?

People are giving feedback to improve so that bugs are squashed. And they are being squashed and from, say, a few people getting it work correctly first time round, we are now at a percentage where it works for 95% of the people just a couple days later. It's been steadily improving to perfection.

You have a bug? NICE. That's good, because Evan can then patch it and make it go to 98-99 and eventually 100% correct. You report it and it gets fixed. You don't even need to report it to Darkcointalk, it will actually be picked up by people who are reading the thread.

But insisting on "OHHHHHHHHHH THIS IS BROOOKEEEENNN" and all the debating back and forth is not really bug-finding and reporting. It's about your usual trolling. If it didn't have bugs it would be called FINAL, not beta/rc. And still it would have a few bugs down the road as all final releases do. That's how software works.

camosoul has been acting like the same people who he once would have called emotional idiots and yelled down.
I think he's purposely being manipulative and he has sell walls on mintpal, thats my theory for his out of character postings.

I'm a shit eating cuntbucket for trying to help him  Grin

Camo is an utter imbecile. A smart one, but imbecile nonetheless. Which may sound paradoxal, but holds weirdly together in truth like moebius

Such bad vibes... I'm sure his life would be much happier if he started it himself.

I feel like Shojayxt is shifting into concern troll territory. No one ever tried to paint a picture of a perfect launch, because it obviously took a few updates to fix some bugs. However, that's kind of irrelevant. All that matters is that it works now, which it seems to for the majority of people. And with each subsequent release, there will be fewer and fewer bugs until it becomes perfect. Anyone who expects it to be perfect from the first version is not occupying reality.

Woah, wait...

Let's not all jump on the guy when he is sleeping. I don't know about sell walls or whatever, but he is a big supporter with a lot of coins who is frustrated. To a certain extent I understand his posts over the last few days.

That said, hopefully he realizes that he is basically the "last" person having issues, stops posting here where he will find no help for his edge case, and talks to Evan and the other devs directly.

Dude is obviously not a people person, but let's not call his issues fake and bash him.

It wouldn't make sense to shit talk his own investment if he's trying to sell for good. Rather, it would make sense if he wanted to play the market and buy for a lower price.

+ 1

I think @camosoul's computing enviromnet is best place to check everything is OK with RC4.

- Linux
- Encrypted HDD
- Tor
- VPN

1) reported corrupted wallet : resolved
2) reported tx/denom problem :
    - some tx never reached/broadcasted
    - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg8339748#msg8339748
We learn "client was either splitting up large inputs or creating fee sized inputs"

      * fee sized inputs

I want check his debug.log.

What's going on with @camosoul's network ?

+ Over 10K.

Hey I always miss the party too, it was just luck, I think it was a month or so ago he jumped on here and recommended it and I thought "Meh, it can't go any lower..."

Saw some pretty tasty buy walls as well so I assumed it had backing...  I'm not going to push my luck, I may never trade again  Cheesy

No one did that. I even tried proposing a solution which he ignored, because we got into a 1 on 1 a while back.

Like I said, his issues are NOT fake, his network is weird and he must troubleshoot and not blame 10.12.x

I just wished he were a nicer person. I like intelligent and dumb nice people. I dislike arrogant hate-filled people, smart or idiot. Plus I think he brings no good image to DRK to that manner

On a side note; Funny thing is... I've never made DRK on a down trend. Always tried on the up and failed miserably. Made 200 DRK from all the panic-FUD. Thanks fella's

I think they are completely fake as well I'm sorry...

I'm not suggesting that this is in fact what he's doing, but if it were... It does fit oddly well with his belief that others are stupid and he can get their coins with a little manipulation. He''s thanked "stupid people" for their coins in the past. Honestly if that's his game, props to him. Nice job.

Guys,

I have a question.

I'll go right out ahead and say that i am a firm Darkcoin enthusiast (maybe even believer) because of the way that i've seen the developers handle everything thus far. Kudos for them all the way!

However, i am also invested in another coin (CL...)
I believe both of these coins have very good fundamentals and are serious contendors of having large marketcaps in the future.

However, I believe that currently the idea of CLOAK on OneMarket is superior to that what we are going to be implementing here (OpenBazaar).
Because the way I see it, OpenBazaar uses some form of central marketplace, whereas Onemarket is a decentralised marketplace.

Is there anyone who can explain me why OpenBazaar should/would be superior to an implementation like OneMarket, or why we choose to not try and implement something similar like them here?

Not trying to spread FUD here, i genuinely want DRK to succeed! Am just trying to get a more firm understanding of the market.

Well you are entitled to your opinion, but I just can't see a reason to sabotage your own investment.  He posted a pic of a wallet with 10k+ DRK. If I had that much, I'd have pompoms glued to my hands... while trying to help as many people solve their issues as possible. Tongue

From what I read, I thought openbazaar was supposed to be decentralized? Either way, I think it's more of a liability to have a market integrated directly into a currency's client. An anonymous currency on its own cannot be held responsible for illegal activity that involves its use. Couldn't say the same if people started listing drugs on the integrated market.
