This person is a known troll and even worse a known lying peice of shit. They campaigned on lies for months in an effort to cause confusion about darkcoin. Please enjoy a clip from their past.... He spread false information about darkcoin in this thread and multiple others knowingly for and extended period of time.

Well at least he warned about the scam.

Darksend + Proof of Stake, didn't have to read the ANN further, a clone coiner can't make MN payments + POS work.

However, it would be interesting to see a DRK clone to actually try to get a masternode network up, would people run them if the payment value doesn't cover server costs?

You are taking his word on that, given the circumstances... Shocked

What does that have to do with me warning people not to install a virus infected QT?

I thought about engaging you in a war of words but I have no desire to clutter the Darkcoin thread with more of that nonsense.  Please continue with your conspiracies regarding me and some alleged long troll. Kiss

Again... from shojay...

Darkcoin and it's largest holders in their greedy quest for masternode profits have become an entity similar to the banking Industry in the United States.  The elite masternode operators are allowed to collect a 20% tax from the miners.  But it gets better, they don't have to do anything to collect that tax.  Darkcoin has it's own network of tax collectors that go around intimidating pool owners into compliance.  These IRS Agents are very aggressive in their tactics.  Using images of men with guns and talking about coming after you if you don't pay.   Some have suggested disrupting their income by launching DDOS attacks.

Where are all the anarchists that were posting in this thread attacking me earlier?  Is this what you envisioned with Darkcoin?  An entity that is no different from Governments and the Big Banks?

Don't let the man bend you over and impose a tax on you.  Cryptocurrency is supposed to be a currency for the people without the constraints of taxes and government interference.  Darkcoin is none of those things.  Some masternode operators boast of making 1 btc in a week.  Where did that btc come from?  A TAX on miners.

Don't pay the 20% tax levied by "The Man"  Mine on one of these pools that don't subject miners to the unfair tax.

I think you are doing more harm than good by reposting old stuff, specially now that we have so many newcomers in the thread. In this case they were talking about a scam unrelated to Darkcoin that was kind of uncalled for, just trying to be objective. Lets try to focus on the present and the future that is way better for everyone.

I respect your opinion a great deal, but think the injustice done to dark coin has had a great effect on where we are today. There is a ridiculous amount of misinformation about dark coin that has fervently been spread far and wide, and identifying the sources of that misinformation will make a lot of sense to the new comers that are wondering where the rumors came from. This is a clear cut case of someone lying about darkcoin to the benefit of no one but themselves, and to allow new comers to think this is a reasonable source of information would be a neglect of duty! Nonetheless, I've done my part, carry on.

Dont get me wrong, I think your feelings are well founded. Its just that sometimes it is wiser to restrain oneself and take the high road in the name of the greater good and by reposting old fud we may end up perpetuating it without accomplishing much else.  I do recognize where you are coming from, if anything I apologize i just want the best for DRK and everyone involved.

To sum up recent events of DRK:

1) Leak of possible merge between DRK & SDC, discussed by the community, Evan pulled the plugs. (cancelled)

2) Rumor of OKCoin.com adding DRK on their (FIAT) exchange.

3) DRK featured on FOX 26 news (6-nov-2014):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YQnYpc52ks

4) DRK discussed on Bloomberg TV (6-nov-2014):
http://www.businessweek.com/videos/2014-11-06/can-bitcoin-stocks-hold-up-against-the-feds

5) Evan testing first InstantX (INSTANT) transaction successfully in ~2 SECONDS:
I just got multiple masternodes to form consensus, lock inputs, literally took 2 seconds to lock the transaction in place... then I tried to spend the same inputs for a higher fee. Works!

2014-11-07 01:13:18 ERROR: CTxMemPool::acceptableInputs()::InstantX : invalid transaction, conflicts with existing transaction lock CTxIn(COutPoint(365de7e2831dc8b85c2c94fef5f2b98e86a95e301879c5b3460db69df757deb9, 0), scriptSig=3046022100e2ca0a35ab1373)

6) Enforcement enabled, 100% compliant:
Enforcement is a success! We officially have 100% payment compliance and no forks on the network anywhere.

7) Darkcoin v0.10.15.21, bloom filters (-90% outbound traffic), load reduction of ~70%:
Darkcoin - v0.10.15.21

If you are running a masternode on a VPS, I highly suggest you update to 15.21. This update reduces outbound traffic by 90%+ (which is what amazon charges for) by implementing bloom filters. Also load has been drastically reduced by about 70%.

https://darkcointalk.org/threads/v10-15-onyx-release.2683/

PS. Enforcement is on, everything looks good  Smiley

It's a tough one man. One way or another, I will mark that user for the rest of my life. To the detriment of my own reputation if need be. I can give a polite simple community warning, or whatever. But never will I let that reptile pass as human. If the questions come up, I'll refer them to the zip file of his fud.

No, the handful of small p2pools not on the latest are on their own. The overwhelming network is fine and humming along. P2pools count for less than 2% of the blocks found. Further, the p2pools that are on the latest just had block 166122 found.

Maybe we should replace the progress bar for Darksend with something like this:

.. because it's not about percents, it's about number of rounds.
It shows, as example, 8 rounds mixing with 5 rounds done.

Doesn't work when not all coins make it to the same rounds at the same time. You could have some still stuck in lower rounds...

Glad I held. I was so close to letting my Dark go just the other day. Feels like the pump is over now, more settled rise to 0.008 I think.

Good going! I, unfortunately, let mine go early and it cost me 0.001 per DRK. Trade confidence in the gutter right now. I might be done with crypto-trading for awhile.

JL

events dear boy, events.

Events hit at unexpected times. nothing to do with trading.

It reminds me that http://www.forexfactory.com/calendar.php

pansy is right tho the driver is gone.  but what i didn't expect is the subsequent dumps.  i was expecting that people ride this out, esp. after all the good news from the dev and all the publicity.

Welcome to Darkcoin... Pump fast and dump faster but not completely... But then slowly dump on one-time big volume sells which eat up the order book but still not entirely reaching previous low levels.
Fn nuts!

My DRK trigger on Craptsy was never fulled at 0.007 for the peak of the "M" :/.

If we maintain a support level above 0.006 then hopefully more to follow once the weekend is done. At a very superficial glance it still looks like there was more bought in the pump than was let go in the dump-good sign?
