Can't wait to go to sleep and wake up to vibrations from the MN payment notification Android app.  It's fantastic.
Which one is that ?!
Do you have a link please
tx
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.betty8080.mynewmasternodes
I'm not using automatic refresh.
Little click on the refesh button with my cofee in the morning, hoping to see my phone vribrating...
Great feeling, when it vibrate two or three times Wink

Some of the comments on here about payments are leaving me wondering if I need to completely rebuild my MN from scratch (even though I update mine with every new release within 24 hours). Now, I know these comments might be from people that have numerous MNs, but I'm feeling much "left out" here. These are my last three payments:

14b04adc76...   210819   2015-01-28 19:15:38   2.08981068   1017.14054568   DRK
29e85a9af1...   211828   2015-01-30 15:09:57   1.7422714   1018.88281708   DRK
a925891d7b...   215547   2015-02-06 09:59:00   1.7478964   1020.63071348   DRK

As you can see it's been 10 days since the last one! I know much has happened on the network but reading comments like "Can't wait to go to sleep and wake up to vibrations from the MN payment" (which, as I've noted, might be for multiple MNs) I'd just be happy to be getting one consistently every four days!

Well I think that you should not worry.

Last 2 weeks were really cahotic, enforcment off, payment that was blocked to same MN (that made 300+ that was not receive) etc, etc...

And yes I got more than one MN Wink
I do agree, I have a couple as well and my payments does not get ROI itself, enforcment on/off, bad actors all around, forst, issues etc etc.... all is becoming stable day by day again.

How much DRK are you looking to raise?  I can help if I understand what you are trying to accomplish?  You do realize 0.1 DRK is about 27 cents?

Since I lost the collateral on the first and only time I tried mixing, I just want to get that back. Since, I feel, I should not have lost it, I wait to recover the amount before I consider anything else. That's just how I am.

OK, I will send you  1 DRK or a 10 collateral credit tomorrow as I don't have access to my wallet right now. I hope your new found interest in DRK brings you a lot of satisfaction.

That would be great, the 0.1 is all I need to be willing to try darksend mixing again Grin

Why do you feel like you shouldn't have lost it? Connection issues, computer issues, pausing/stopping DS can all trigger collateral forfeiture. Further, are you sure it's collateral and not a random DS fee which is also -.10 (should happen on average 1 in 40 rounds but with variance).

When I finally noticed it, I saw I lost about 6 hours of internet connectivity due to my isp putting a 'we are no longer giving you free email'  TOS captive portal kind of thing. That could not have been predicted and was completely unexpected, they never did that before. So, I was freaked out seeing how everything was stopped. I didn't expect mixing needed to be a continuous real time event that would take as long as it did. I saw the collateral taken early on after the tiny transaction fee first.

Then it's working as it should... Are you really going to complain about $0.28 when your connection was the issue?

The issue for him is that there was no description of how the system works before he could start using it. Not everyone follows these forums and knows the system inside out.

Why are there so many MNs running in California?

The map is not accurate. Almost all of my MNs show up as being in the USA but only 20% of them are as I have them spread around the globe.

instamine

didn't sdc instamine 5-6 million coins in the first week?

Btw, is there more "zero knowledge" tech in sdc than in ducknote?

From what we can tell there's a uncommon condition on the network (seems to be about 1 in 10 clients), where some databases have became corrupt. Please check your logs for these messages:

--

2015-02-15 17:34:26 ERROR: ReadBlockFromDisk : Deserialize or I/O error - ReadCompactSize() : size too large
OR
2015-02-15 17:34:26 ERROR: ReadBlockFromDisk : Errors in block header

---

If you find entries like that delete ~/.darkcoin/blocks and chainstate, then resync from the bootstrap:

https://github.com/UdjinM6/darkcoin-bootstrap

Thanks  Smiley

Bump for the lazy ones

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash."  -  Child Harold - February 28, 2014

Thats a nice looking Masternode in Cape Town, wonder who they are. only 2 in all of Africa, its a tad sparse, although New Zealand has none which is surprising, what about Kim DotCom  Wink
http://www.darkcoin.cm/index/masternodes_map/

I would take that map with a grain of salt (i.e. don't trust it). My MN is running on a Sydney, Australia based Vultr VPS instance yet the Ninja MN monitoring page has described it as being in the US since I established it and I don't why that is. There are other Darkcoiners down here with MNs having the same issue. I would expect there are MNs in New Zealand too, however this mapping tool isn't working properly and I doubt it's at all accurate.

The maps are just as accurate as the data from the IP-geo-location providers used is...and those are _really_ lacking.
But at least they can give you an idea about distribution.

On my own map about 80% are correct, though.

How do you check your log in linux?

grep  "ERROR" ~/.darkcoin/debug.log or you can monitor in real time using tail -F ~/.darkcoin/debug.log

Yes we should vote, its the biggest Chinese altcoin exchange. When ripple or bitshares were pumping, they had over 1 million usd volume. I'm not sure but does it seem that it would cost us .1BTC to get to first place?
