Thanks Tungfa, you put a lot of work into making this happen.

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release.
Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5%
Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1)  = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update
Make sure you back up your wallet regularly! Unlike a bank account, nobody can help you if you lose access to your BTC.

*** Test version 12 on Testnet is momentarily on hold due to some bugs that needs to be sorted out first but it will continue shortly i'm sure so i thought i posted the following : ***

For those interested at testing version 12 on Testnet after it has resumed and are willing to give some helpfull feedback :

* Register at https://dashtalk.org
* Check these two sites for the latest test updates of version 12

1 : https://dashtalk.org/threads/v12-testing-thread.5484/page-3
(check latests posts from Eduffield or from flare containing links to the most recent testversion downloads)

2 : https://dashtalk.org/threads/testnet-tools-resources.1768/
(this is flare's site)

Here you will also find two faucets which will get you some tDash, these hold no value and are only used for testing purposes on Testnet to get you started.

I'm normally running several test window Dash versions (dash-qt.exe) at the same time to help me with testing the Darksend mixing, the best way for me personally is
to create two seperate folders for each dash-qt.exe you are going to use..

Examples of Testnet folders on my own D drive :

TestDash1  : containing dash-qt.exe
TestDash1Data : this will contain the blockchain and wallet etc..

* create a shortcut from the dash-qt.exe inside the TestDash1 folder towards your desktop (rightclick on dash-qt and click create shortcut to desktop)
* edit the shortcut by rightclicking with your mouse on it , click on properties and replace existing text in the target of the shortcut with :

D:\TestDash1\dash-qt.exe -testnet=1 -datadir=D:\TestDash1Data -listen=0

TestDash2  : containing dash-qt.exe
TestDash2Data : this will contain the blockchain and wallet etc..

* create a shortcut from the dash-qt.exe inside the TestDash2 folder towards your desktop
* edit the shortcut by rightclicking with your mouse on it, click on properties and replace existing text in the target of the shortcut with :

D:\TestDash2\dash-qt.exe -testnet=1 -datadir=D:\TestDash2Data -listen=0

TestDash3  : containing dash-qt.exe
TestDash3Data : this will contain the blockchain and wallet etc..

* create a shortcut from the dash-qt.exe inside the TestDash3 folder towards your desktop
* edit the shortcut by rightclicking with your mouse on it, click on properties and replace existing text in the target of the shortcut with :

D:\TestDash3\dash-qt.exe -testnet=1 -datadir=D:\TestDash3Data -listen=0

You will notice that all i'm really doing here is adding the commandline options to the shortcut :

-testnet=1 : forces the wallet to go in testnet mode
-datadir=xxx : forces the wallet to use a specific folder for the blockchain and wallet to store
-listen=0 : enables several wallets running at the same time

Now you are ready to participate on Testnet (when it resumes).

Someone, or some group are seemingly trying to hold DASH under 0.012... Feels to me like if we can finally break this level then there will be a significant move up...

Actually, i take my words back. The concept is cool - but the whole site is full of bulshit propaganda. Like no climate change, ISIS is a made up group, Russia did not hit a malaysian airlines plane... GMO, climate change...  its like Green party all over the place....

call me crazy, call me paranoid or call me silly but i always had this nagging feeling that the Dash price even now is carefully steered towards a price at which
its still achievable to reach the target of 3000 active masternodes more easily and in a certain time period ... once it does reach the targetted 3000 masternodes
though i have a feeling things will change fast (meaning a lot higher price)

atm the price for MN is 3000 usd (1000x3usd)

I might not be able to afford a MN at the cost of ~12BTC but I can certainly play around with v12 for DASH.

Have somebody send you 1000tDASH and you can build a tMN
It's free and a GREAT way to learn the DASH "system"

Sorry about busting your balls last night but - I hate scammers......
Just do me/us a favor - prove your worth and make me eat my words - k?
K

I'm going through a LOT of shit right now and yes, the pints got the better of me.
While I understand that's no excuse but - I hate scammers......

Right than.... Luv me or hate me.....
Feel free to blow me some shit from time to time

Constructive Criticism is always welcome
but
I was not being constructive

apologizes -

I feel lil stupid for askin but what would the approx vaue be of 1k tDASH as that might be the best way to go at the present time  to do a MN ? If I can afford it as I doubt anyone will just toss me 1k tDASH if it's values large enough lol

But ya, I was just trying to offer s service and if people use it great n if not ehh but DASH does seem unique in some ways compared to other cryptos. One thing being MN's which is literally new territory to me.
Yes, but I was asking about tDASH.

There is a faucet for testnet-DASH http://test.faucet.dashninja.pl/

Quick question :

All these discussions on the fixed blocksize limit that Bitcoin is facing and the possible solution to that (increasing the blocksize limit),
is that something that Dash and other altcoins will face too in the near future ? Or has it been fixed with Dash already ?
I vaguelly remember some Dash discussions about this some time ago .. i cant remember the details.

Think about it:

When the cryptocurrency economy is capitalised from outside (i.e. new money comes in from fiat as opposed to incestuous intra-crypto trading), bitcoin will rise against the dollar because bitcion is the front door for the whole economy.

(P.S. 112 BTC on BTCe.....munched)

Meanwhile, all the alts will also rise against fiat, without any movement in their markets whatsoever, because they are effectively "backed" by BTC.

HOWEVER, if ANY of that fiat dribbles into the alts (i.e. someone invests $1000 in crypto, they put 900 into BTC and 100 into Dash/LTC/PPC/Nxt whatever) then those alts will ALSO rise against BTC in their ALT/BTC ratios.

So holding alts is a good thing. As BTC gets capitalised, you will get a leveraged gain over BTC in the long term as long as the alt is reasonably stable in fundamentals against BTC. (Thats my theory anyway and I'm sticking to it  Wink ).
