As much as I would want ot believe crypto will succeed, everyday i think more that it never be adopted. Volatility is a killer, my friends just laugh about it... How can the volatility be stopped? Can masternodes stop it? Orcouple of whales are needed to prevent wild fluctuation of the price? Darkcoin is in the area of 0.006 BTC (+-0.001) for more than 6 month now. Yes Dark Coin has made an super stable base.... |

Anyone care to address the implications of this question? If registration of Masternodes is required, the penalties for not doing so could be significant. masternodes are as decentralized as any other p2p-nodes are. you can set them up everywhere where internet is available (moon?). until us regulators understand what a darkcoin masternode technically does you have around 15 years to find a good hoster outside the us. stop thinking so us centric. the states are not ruling the world. and this wont happen anytime soon. |

For us it is stable as we value in price of BTC, but for average person it is not, because average Jo want to buy DRK with $ and $ value was fluctuating along with bitcoin! So if i bought DRK for 1.7$, the drop to 1.2$ and then back to 1.7$ is a big thing... |

For a start Bitcoin is not "volatile". It cannot "disappear" or be "at risk" as debt based currencies can. What you're referring to is it's trading value against the dollar. That is not a problem in the long term and it's only a problem in the short term if you're day trading and take losses. As far as it's "suitability as a currency" is concerned, the volatility in a particular market (BTC / USD) is only a problem if you're paying in one currency (BTC) and pricing in another, (USD). If you price and pay in the same currency then the impact of the BTC / USD market volatility vanishes. You just haven't thought any of this through enough. I have some sympathy for your "laughing" friends because for someone not 'hooked into' the crypto world you would see things through the eyes of the US Dollar. That's like me putting a pair of green spectacles on and complaining about the colour of my eggs in the morning. I don't really care if the USD dollar market goes to $99, $50, $500 or where it goes right now because the valuation is mainly speculative therefore the price doesn't tell you anything about the state of the industry. Even then, coins aren't flowing through your masternode. All coins are mixing in the person's own wallet, never leaving. The masternodes simply facilitate the tx's at the same time for obfuscation. |

Guys im waiting for darkcoind to sync up... i setup masternode by my self, im kinda proud of my self because im linux newb masternode start PASSWD command is ready to start masternode wish me luck!!! p.s. after how much time my linux ip should show on masternodes list? instantly give it 1-2 min https://drk.mn/masternodes.html & hit F5 |

People when hear mixing they think the coins are flying around. They don't understand the tech behind Darkcoin, what a masternode do, how coins are considered as anonymous.
