Speaking of which, here is a temporary solution to the Quad Screen Darkcoin price webby.

Ignore the url name, its a marinating project.

If the D in DASH is going to be a letter C backwards - then it should spin by design

DASH
CASH
DASH
CASH

bump

Doesn't work on print or static images, only animations. There needs to be a static logo.
For me the best is. Digital cash. Or the short version.
D Cash. Which can be also word play with sounds The Cash. But
D Cash is my favorite.!!!

Point taken -

I guess I should make my stance clear

NO to: DASH

YES to: Digital Cash

It is unfortunate vertoe left, but the point he tried to make by his actions did shout volumes to me about his character, despite his obvious talent.

And the fact he was so focussed on Darkcoin being all about dark markets.....that's a legacy which is now (thank goodness) being shed.

There is much honor in that fight, like I said before as well, and brave warriors they are.

But there is gutural libertarianism, and then there is blind subversiveness.

Evan did mess-up, but not in any anti-crypto-end-all-soul-crushing-I-am-the-boss way. He's the guy who has to step up and hold the helms

He may not have messed up as much as we think.

It looks to me like he was stuck between a rock and a hard place on the "inclusive consensus" point. I'm just realising that now -i.e. now that we've just started to get concerned with the name.

Once this gets discussed in public, as soon as the community starts to reach a consensus an adversely disposed entity (anyone from a competing currency to AdamAnt himself) could just run off and sit on every statutory access path to securing the name. So Evan went and pre-empted the whole process (as he's already described).

It was simply due diligence as the official guardian of the project.

Nor did he have much option about telling Vertoe because Vertoe had already made clear in public his opposition to the move. So to avoid leaks, even if Evan only wanted to secure a new name as an *option* to have ready before going public with the discussion, he didn't have much choice but to do it all prior.

Anything else would have been seen (form a strictly due diligence perspective) as wreckless. (Ironically - because that's what he's being criticised for. I'm now starting to see his actions as anything but).

Precisely, though that statement did cause a great dev to quit. When I say mess up, I mean things could have been handled differently.
vertoe was all in for rebranding, not re-naming. But his reasons and methods for leaving, say it all. Evan did not violate crytpo-ethics, quite the contrary, his mission is to elevate them.

He has surprised us before, countlessly, and some times it´s an announcement of finding new talent for the team.

 Way too much drama.

Thanks to everyone that +1'd my logo.

Here's a bit of an improvement, including what I think would be a good slogan.

Here. I actually took a few minutes to clean it up and do it in Illustrator rather than my quickie earlier version.

Loogs good - I think the tag line should be just 'digital cash' because cash is private and instant already Cheesy

EDIT: I like that the first letter D looks like reversed C for Cash..Dash! v good

Could have animated version with the D rotating to a C and back..(rotating around Y axis if u know what i mean)
Good point--so what do you think of the slogan "Dash IS Cash"? Cool

I think just: Digital Cash

Cash is by definition private and a cash payment is settled instantaneously.  So in my opinion Digital Cash is more simple, and self explanatory.

Specially at the beginning, later on, when the brand develops we drop digital cash, and leave it just DASH. There is no need to give it explicit meaning it will grow to represent the payment platform, it will just take time.

Toknormal you're one of the few people I've come across on an Internet forum that's so very accurate with grammar. We're rapidly approaching a time when the average person will have absolutely no comprehension on the difference between there, their and they're, its and it's, to, two and too, which and witch, accept and except, affect and effect, a lot and allot, bear and bare, illicit and elicit, let and let's, (and hundreds of others) nor care two hoots about any of it either. Pretty sad.

Having said that we all (you too occasionally) get our your and you're mixed up pretty regularly.

English is a wonderful language.

Grammar matters because if you don't get it right (write?) you can sometimes say something completely different to what you meant.

Thanks. But thats only because I went to school.

Your too right. It's a total black hole for me - I always realise I should be writing one or the other but never sure which one. Can you enlighten ? It would be a huge breakthrough !

Cash was name given to the physical paper token representing a unit of money. It has no intrinsic meaning, except the one awarded to it.
 Dash is the digital equivalent.

Digital Cash has intrinsic meaning, but is a mouthful.

Well I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic but you've just done it.

Quote
Your too right

Your is possessive meaning the person is the owner of something. So it can refer to the writer's person or someone else.

You're is the equivalent of "you are".

Just remember to check whether you're (i.e. "you are" in this case) talking about you or someone being a certain way or you're talking about you or someone owning something.
