Last one for fun,

''The promise of this work is exceptional: instant reliable transactions across the bitcoin network. ''

Good night  Grin

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release.
Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5%
Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1)  = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

A lot of sh*t hitting the fan today, eh?

It kind of makes me sick though.  Every scam makes all crypto currencies look bad.  I agree with you Tao, the DASH foundation better take heed.  They better record and make available minutes to all meetings.  This should make us all feel vindicated, but at the same time we're all human, and it should sit as a warning.

I also feel sad because I just watched that video someone posted of Maxwell and Adam Back which was nearly incomprehensible.  Somewhat due to poor quality of the video and much due to both interviewees being incredibly monotone and out of touch.  The side chain idea has been talked about since I first joined this forum, but what actual work has been done?  Sure, these guys are undoubtedly intelligent (though probably aspie) but where is the work ethic?  I don't want to see Bitcoin fall by the wayside.  They're our flag carrier.  But I fear they're failing as well.

I don't know, we here who support DASH are going to have to seriously stay on the up and up.  We've been taking incredible abuse, I see more in our future as we climb higher and higher.  I fear it's going to get even uglier.  Brace yourselves!  The pats on the back are super few and far between, we're gonna get more abuse than pats for certain, until DASH is a mainstay, and then there will always be battles to stay on top.

+1 to your original post Tante.
@ Masternode, yes this is good to hear. Are they posted somewhere for review by the public, or at least for foundation members?

Can you please explain your role on the foundation board and how you came to obtain the position?

((it's in the name - shhhh))
lol

no.

i left because i disagree darkcoin or however it will be called next year is not a decentralized entity. it never was but i ignored it as long as darkcoin was following the same path i was following. the path to total financial privacy. and thats why i am so upset about how this currency is lead by a single person. darkcoin is like an old conservative company with strong hierarchical comamnd structures and a single person on the top of the pyramid. evan duffield. the rebranding using a detergent name was just a step forward in creating something like apple or paypal. fuck this i tell you. what we need is a trustless, decentralized and anonymous currency. darkcoin is not decentralized as it still relies on a single person. and this reaches deep into the code base.

the core devs were just a bunch of volunteers exploited for the big thing. the extended darkcoin team was the same with even a lower place to sit on that pyramid. and what was the darkcoin foundation again? right, something to reserve some rights on some names and collect money. who nominated and voted for the foundation board? who does even know who are these guys? how did we learn about the foundation? from local news papers! the team listings kept counting names of people nobody ever noticed before. and they never committed anything visible to the community or the repository. and i was spending 25 hours a day monitory everything that happened in the darkcoin community for more than a year. the things going on here are fishy, intransparent and rely on a single entity.

i will get out and and will contribute to something decentralized and anonymous. i always hoped darkcoin could fill that void. i cant blame anyone to stay with this project. you are probably investors trying to win a gold donkey. or you are simply trying to exploit every possible vector of profit in the coins space. whatever. you are not here because darkcoin is something it claims to be.

if you disagree with my statement above, i dont care, but answer that simple question: what if evan duffield suddenly announces he quits the project tomorrow morning?

good luck

I already knew the foundation has a strict protocol in place, still, it must be adhered to always and forever Tongue  So I guess that's what I meant.

Won't matter. Dash's instamine is far worse than any troubles going on with the bitcoin foundation, and ensures no meaningful future. I advise that you dont get too sentimentally attached to this cryptocoin. Always remember to sell at the highs, I hope you did the last time in 2014 when we warned you before it was dumped.

There is certainly a bigger picture here.   So many of the individuals here really don't understand.  Any negative banter effects everyone...on all crypto coins.  Most of everyone here just doesn't seem to get it.  They have an agenda... Not realizing that they are screwing themselves.  In our case the instamine...well it happened,  nothing can be changed.  And truly who did this hurt,  where is the proof of harm to anyone? Who by that happening,  was harmed.   No one.  It's smoke and mirrors  ... And by now it's all Dispersed.  In fact I see it as stroke of good luck.   It allowed us to fuel paying full time Devs instead of starving and begging for donations. At this point it's old hat.   Joe public does not care or  have a clue what or why instamine is... And who cares.   It is always assumed that those that create something should be handsomely rewarded.  In fact,  what these individual people are proposing is a socialism and a socialist agenda.. A view that I don't believe in.    In the end... Your actions hurt everyone... By acting juvenile and ranting about something that is no longer relevant.  In the process.. Hurting everyone in the crypto world.

LoL ! Your giving them too much credit. It's not even as complicated as that.

Here's the real reason for the trolling - nothing to do with the "instamine".

Yes very true, but regarding the trolls, I can't help it.  The only thing that makes sense to me, given the amount of time they spend trolling, and as far as I can tell, not getting anything out of it (or do they?)  It just makes me feel like they're paid by big money to kill crypto in general.  Is it bankers?  Is it governments?  Who is paying them to do this?  Anyway, I seriously find myself thinking like a conspiratorialist, LOL.  Can these groups win against us? or prolong adoption?  I don't know.  I don't think they can win, but the latter, probably.

I'm still trying to help, granted I've made quite a sum from this cryptocoin, don't try and present the option that it has a future outside of this forum. I warned Tante on her previous account in 2014 that dumps were going to happen and I hope she did the right thing. While I'm at it, the instamine of this cryptocoin is it's own personal barricade. I've presented the opportunity to invest in alternative currencies besides Bitcoin to my investment group and one common factor most of them all shared, was that they were never going to invest a dime in Dash, named Darkcoin at that time mainly because of it's instamine. What would ordinary people think? A friend and myself were the only ones that invested and made a huge return on this crypocoin, partly because we knew something like a instamine would be perfect for "pumping" and the like, not much else.

Just a friendly reminder to not get sentimentally attached. Goodybe for now.

What is not stated...  What is wrong with profiting from your invention?  Where in the rule book of crypto coin development does it say a rule was broken.  You can either be like me and believe that you should profit FROM your handy work... Or your a socialist.

Edit: and I would dear say that human history...proves me right....

So many of the individuals here really don't understand.  Any negative banter effects everyone...on all crypto coins.  Most of everyone here just doesn't seem to get it.  They have an agenda... Not realizing that they are screwing themselves.  In our case the instamine...well it happened,  nothing can be changed

LoL ! Your giving them too much credit. It's not even as complicated as that.

Here's the real reason for the trolling - nothing to do with the "instamine".

 (Point [2])

Unfortunately I agree.  Their use of instamine is a white herring.   It masks some other agenda yet not revealed.  A shame that there are so many morally crippled individuals trolling here.
