Stay clear of that, not worth it at all. Its a blatant scam. Dash is quoted double the real market. No company info. They suggest checking tx on the dashcoin explorer... the list just goes on.

Yeah, I just bought one  Grin

Grab them while you can, stock is very limited and they take "ages" to re-stock. They don't announce availability, so its a permanent flash sale. In theory you can buy any of the others (or other brands) and flash ubuntu onto it, but its not straight forward at all from what I gathered. This one is the first and only official one so far. Asked them if they'd be released any of the higher spec'ed ones, and they said no, not for now. But of course, that can change at any second.

Are you sure you can even get a terminal on that thing? I wish Canonical would stop messing about with useless newfangled UI rubbish.  Cheesy

I managed to compile darkcoind on my old Galaxy S2 a few months back in an ubuntu server chroot, it took about 3 days... no use as a MN though without a static IP.

From what I know its Ubuntu Unity desktop with a phone touch overlay

Quote
It’s designed as a mobile (or portable) operating system for smartphones and tablets, although with a caveat that I’ll write about a little later. For our readers unfamiliar with Ubuntu, this is a full blown operating system running over a LINUX kernel. It will run over an Android kernel, which makes it an interesting diversion from Google’s operating system. Now, the caveat that I wrote about is that the Ubuntu Phone operating system uses the same core technologies as Ubuntu Desktop. This means that if an Ubuntu Touch device has the necessary desktop components installed, plugging it into an external monitor gives the user a full desktop experience.

http://www.androidheadlines.com/2015/02/install-ubuntu-phone-os-onto-bq-aquaris-e4-5-smartphone.html

You're good to go then, but I highly recommend something like this if you can find a similar app for ubuntu mobile, if you don't have a decent bluetooth KB:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.pocketworkstation.pckeyboard&hl=en_GB  -  it will save you hours of frustration.

Yes, I realised that about 5 secs after hitting Post. Forgot it was native ubuntu and not a chroot env.  Cheesy

......

BTW:

tail -f debug.log
What's that mean?
2015-04-12 11:44:41 CDarksendPool::UpdateState() - Can't set state to ERROR or SUCCESS as a Masternode.

??

It's ok, just some log spam that shouldn't really be there - you can ignore it.

Is nice to see the Android wallet already with InstantX support. Still in beta but definitely a great step in the right direction.

Was just about to post about this. I'm among those partially inactives and using Vultr and noticed other IP's from Vultr were partially inactive like mine. Wonder what's up with them today.

Edit: 15 minutes I was 25% partially inactive along with other Vultr's but now I'm 50% as well as other Vultr's.
Edit2: 75% now. daemon says all's well. meh.

I own a DASH Masternode.... And you should too.

historically, dashninja has never been 100% accurate, many little pestering bugs due to the immense and constant innovations in this coin. It is absolutely a fantastic resource, but always check directly with the daemon to see if your node is working properly

Instant X works for me on android, anyone else tried this?
(pre-release Dash Wallet Beta 4.0 Update 2)
https://github.com/HashEngineering/darkcoin-wallet/releases/

Hi Sub-Ether,

I thought I'd give this a try. Managed to install the app okay. Tried sending it 0.1 DASH from the wallet on my PC but initially nothing was received. Looking further into it I see that the network monitor (on the app on the phone) indicates no peers are connected. I added my own MN into the 'trusted peer' setting to see if this helped at all. It didn't. The app initially just sat there not connecting to anything as if it needed some sort of kick-off to get started. The phone's definitely connected to the Internet as I can browse and receive email.

So I tried restarting the phone and reran the app. After a few minutes connections suddenly started appearing, but it took at least another 20 minutes or so before the 0.1 DASH I sent as a test came in (and it had been an InstantX transaction).

So left it sitting there for a while and picking it up an hour later it's lost all its peer connections again. Can't get it to do anything so have rebooted phone again and rerun the app. Still nothing after 30 minutes then after about 45 minutes connections appeared in the network monitor again but only briefly, they've gone again.

So I'm having "mixed results" but the look and feel of the app is excellent.

Thanks for trying!
This is a pre-release though I found it more responsive than the only official version of darkcoin-wallet-1.10.0.apk (no instantX)
Briefly had no peers for a couple of minutes which could have been connection and transmission was delayed but as soon as the peers came back all went immediately(never had 20 minutes like you, have you got an older android OS?)
Send/receive and with instantX tried 15 times and was a complete 100% speedy instant '5 confirmations' success.
Works well for virtually no blockchain download, am upto only 35 megabytes data usage so far, so thankfully minimal bandwidth required.
In summary, this is a usable first attempt at an android wallet that I would advise using with caution(and with backups!)
