Everything this coin makes unique is based on masternodes (IX, DS, ...). Enough masternodes are only running because people earn money with them. Intercept the enforcment for long enough and support abusive pools and you will see how far you will get with this centralized payment company. If you dont understand the risks of centralization you should stop posting on this thread and start reading some early documents of... well let's start with Satoshi? I'm not trolling here. It's a serious concern you should research.
Just like mining, a masternode is an incentivized investment which supports the network in a decentralized and distributed way. As such, your statement could just as easily be made for bitcoin itself: Everything Bitcoin makes unique is based on mining.... Enough miners are only running because people earn money with them...support abusive pools and you will see how far you will get with this centralized payment company.
You're not wrong in reminding everyone that anything which is designed to be decentralized and distributed gets more risky as a 51% majority is reached. It is just as true of Bitcoin as it is for Dash. However, the fact that Dash has TWO distinct incentivised/decentralized systems working in tandem makes it much harder for any one entity to control the coin than a single-tiered system of just mining. So in fact, your concern is less true of Dash than any other coin. |

I dont know as I dont follow Dash but was there any difference between DRK and Dash apart from a name change and a cool wallet that made the price jump from a dollar 80 to five dollars plus.Think its heading back to the first price again if there was not.

The cool wallet was already almost ready to launch, it just had to be rebranded. Other than that, no, just a name change. As for new things, they are coming but they're not coming because of the name change, they were always coming. The name change is literally only so that the product would be more palpable to the general population, who are less likely to appreciate a cool name, but more likely to appreciate a non-edgy benign name. On the subject of wallets, I believe the Android wallet (which will support both DS and IX) is getting close to complete and the IOS wallet is also doing very well with a part time developer working at a steady pace. These will truly make DASH usable in real world situations such as buying groceries and gasoline. All we need is to get stores and stations to accept DASH as a payment method. |

Excellent! Keep up the good work as always. I like how a lot of the talking points that have been going around the the community recently are addressed in your post. Also, I really can't wait for the decentralized management whitepaper to be released this Wednesday. The key is whether or not we will be able to keep the efficiency in the development process that we have enjoyed in the past while trying to decentralize aspects of management. Teach me your ways!It's easy--pump the coin until people are calling for 0.04 sats per dash, sell a few thousand on the way up, the bulk at the top, then pull the floor and watch all the people who bought upwards of 0.015 start to panic sell the price down--then buy as many MNs to your hearts content Must have accrued many MN's based off of this. As much as I find the act of using a large purse to manipulate a small market deplorable, you cannot question its effectiveness! |
