Comprehensive Dash Expansion in Nigeria Funded

Dash has funded a complete adoption initiative in Nigeria, to grow use in an area seeing a significant rise in interest.

Dubbed the #Dash4Nigeria Project, the initiative aims to be “…a comprehensive approach to maximizing Dash adoption in Nigeria, addressing all necessary factors to establish a continuously-growing user-base in the country of 186M+ people and 200M+ English-speaking Africans in other countries,” according to the proposal. This will be handled through a multifaceted approach involving meetups, education, exchanges, and more. According to project lead Nathaniel Luz, Dash interest is on the rise in Nigeria, necessitating an increase in staffing to grow promotion:

DASH is not an altcoin anymore. Dash is the digital cash and all the others (including BTC) are altcoins.

Somebody should call Ripple and let them know that we'll be passing by in the next couple of weeks or so. Schedule is tentative of course....

It's extremely difficult to find a system that can have very low to no fees and that isn't simultaneously open to abuse by a script-kiddie... unless that system doesn't actually store a ledger but rather something like ...balances which shift.

Actually even then you can spam it by creating a lot of balance addresses that would require XX bytes to store, just by sending a no-fee tx of 1 satoshi / duff to a veeeery long list of random addresses. So, I really can't think of how you can make a promise of zero to very low fees and infinite scaling when you are also opening yourself to an attack vector.

But then again, I'm not the coder here.

The difference is our nodes are paid well to run high end equipment and have big pipes to the internet.  That is why an attacker would be wasting his time and money, as it will have no effect.  The transactions would merely be absorbed.  The only reason a block size needs to be protected is when you have volunteer nodes that will drop away if it becomes too costly to run them.  Currently, most Bitcoin nodes are not normal people but big businesses hoping their investment in Bitcoin will pay off when they get to run those LN networks, because someone has to do it, they're centralized.  I'm sure the fees will become profitable, and in order to make these separate "networks" (actually holdings by an escrow agent) transact with each other, you will need them to act exactly the way Banks act today, and thus Bitcoin simply becomes an asset class for just another mechanism in the Banking / Wall Street world.  Nothing to see here, move along.  nothing changed, Bitcoin was absorbed into the Borg.  Thank God for Dash.

People are playing with speculative markets instead of investing in seriously long termed based project like Dash which is time tested. The speed of recent development which is being done for last few months has brought it as more big and important player in this market. People will realize when already lot of water will have crossed over the bridge.

Hahaha, I love your enthusiasm . This is not my financial advise but also previously in this forum I wrote that Dash is easily 2k coins. Some heads bigger than myself are making stronger statements : https://www.cnbc.com/2017/12/01/cryptocurrencies-could-be-worth-trillions-of-dollars-top-vc-says.html
Could it be that Dash is the next 10k coin ? Can it be that in a couple of year we see it worth 100k ?

Guys just make your own decision on how much you are able/ready to loose or you are not and then buy but for me personally it looks like Dash is set to beat all the records including Ether and Bitcoin m now only the time will show if I was right but I won't forget this post.

Thanks

I need an advice.

Following Scenario:

I would like to give a married couple a masternode. They live in harmony and everything is fine and really great since years.
However you know how fast people can change when there is a lot of money involved and a masternode is a lot of money epecially since we can expect the value to still grow a good way the comming years.

So how can I make sure each one owns half of the masternode. If I give them 500 coin each then they have no masternode  income and still have to pay tax. They byway have no knowledge in crypto and I will only be able to tell them the most important basics.

Maybe I have to wait for evolution and then really give each one 500?
How much less will the interest in evolution be in comperation to a full masternode?

It was great back in the day where we could have a donation address and have the MN payments sent there rather than the wallet controlling the coins but thats not an option today.    The MN share program is great but you have to send all 1000 to a 3rd party in this case, so would recommend that for 25 or so coins but not 1000.   I would say the best option today is to continue to run the node,  send them the payments each week until Evolution comes out.    Then do the 500 coins each-- even though it will be less than a masternode, they would have full control and still get some returns.

That is a wonderful gesture, btw.   The passive income is truly a gift that keeps giving.    I have friends that don't know anything about crypto but setting up an account to exchange to fiat when needed,  a keepkey, and just a tiny amount of time was enough for them to be actively involved.   They have never needed to take any out but understand how to send/receive if they needed to.

3 Amigos Podcast E28 Feat. Raphael Shalaby Wirex Community Manager

Video repost of episode 28 of the three amigos podcast. This week we were joined by special guest Raphael Shalaby Community Manger from Wirex. Raphael kindly provided an update and answered questions regarding Wirex integrating and developing Dash in to the service. Wirex is developing a Dash wallet, has an exchange, working on functionality to buy and sell Dash directly on their platform as well as offering a Dash supported debit card. The Wirex Dash wallet has a launch date of February 2018. Raphael also mentioned the Wirex website is going to be completely revamped to feature Dash more predominately. Wirex currently has a customer base of 900,000 and Raphael hopes to multiply this number in 2018 with outreach and expansion in to Asian markets.

The 3 amigos podcast takes place every Friday at 3pm EST / 8pm GMT.

If you haven’t done so by now, can you please make sure you like and subscribe to the Dash Force News YouTube channel. Thank you to the Dash community for your continued support.

Powerful coin, very good for investment. I hope the path of growth is just beginning.

If it was just beginning, we'd still be at $1.70 :-P

Hi everyone.

I invested in DarkCoin (now Dash) a while ago and I have been opening up all my altcoin wallets recently, I have 16 coins in the wallet.

Does anyone know any good currency exchange websites where I can trade some of these for Bitcoin?

I plan to keep most of them as the coins still looks to be going strong but I also plan on trading some of them for Bitcoin as I current have no Bitcoin.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.
