My only hope is that DASH is decentralized enough where one person or group doesn't control over 50% of MNs....that's my only concern here. DASH has a very bright future ahead of it and just watch this next year once the market stabilizes.
I assume the topic of centralisation comes down to the masternodes issue, but I understand that as independent investors they would have a vested interest in the continuing success of Dash, would centralising the currency be of benefit? wouldnt that change the very nature of its current success? |

Dash Expands African Outreach to Cameroon Dash’s outreach has expanded to Cameroon, bringing a new region and language to the successful African outreach projects.
The #Dash4Nigeria group, which has expanded outreach locally since last summer, held its first meetup in neighboring Cameroon this month in an effort to break into this new market, as well as establish a foothold in the francophone African countries. A meetup was held with a presentation via Skype session, including a question and answer period, to a small group of 11 attendees. Additionally, Dash ambassadors were able to present at a seminar with an audience of 29.

This is one of my concerns too. In the early days of Dash masternodes Otoh and Evan seemed to control too many masternodes for my taste, however as far as I am aware this is not the case any longer and hasn't been for a long time. I imagine it would be much harder or impossible to achieve these days given the distribution of coins and the fiat price. |

Thought I'd share some of my charts on the Dash / BTC pair. (Note this is a log scale. (I like log scale)) 1 D chart  For some while now Dash has been trading in a roughly horizontal channel which for some reason I coloured purple. (Early versions of my purple channel have been revised but the idea remains of a rough horizontal trading range. Dash has tested the midline of the purple channel and currently sitting comfortably above it. Dash has also appeared to climb above another trend line I marked green. To see where that comes from I need to zoom out. 1 W chart  It becomes apparent there is a large bull channel which can be drawn, in green here. Of which the green trend line is the mid line. Can Dash stay above that line? It is easy to imagine Dash can test the top of the purple channel from here. Will Dash be able to climb out yet? I suspect we might have to wait for evolution and then assuming all goes to plan, climb out to another new higher plateau. Perhaps if evolution looks baked in, then the run up will start early.. Are there any updates about evolution that can be shared? Anyone?  edit: I tweaked the charts slightly |

It's still pretty much undervalued and i think DASH will be 2k-3k till end of year. Also i heard that Dash and other main coins will add to BitcoinWhite wallet
What happened to DASH man? It got to $1k faster than ETH and now it's dropping faster than ETH. Take a look on market, all altcoins are down or grow slowly. I think all will be ok and DASH grow up till his earlier price in feb-march. |

Wouldn't beat yourself up too much, although if you mined right at the beginning. Wow. I think this is probably quite common among the earliest miners. Why hold XCoin?Cost of a masternode is down quite a lot from what it was though. But yes Dash is a serious player and underestimated and undervalued. The first coin with masternodes network and governance and treasury ie the first Dao. First, or one of the first privacy coins. I only need to look at the price of bitcoin cash to know that Dash is way undervalued. Bitcoin cash offers a bitcoin type coin with big blocks. Thats it. Dash, I even forgot instant transactions. Low fees. But Litecoin too? Wtf is litecoin doing above Dash? Market is irrational. But such is life. Another above Dash is EOS!!! Wtf. Its a token and a whitepaper. Is there even alpha software for it yet? Wtf!! Lol Dash is awesome. I am a fan. edit.. I forgot to rant about Ripple. Wtf! Ripple the token in which billions were created, but most are hodl'd by the company that created them out of thin air, pretended to be Open Source. Is centralised and I don't think it even has a blockchain. It has a centralised ledger which is held on an excel spreadsheet as I presume it. |
