Is information about progress on evolution available somewhere ?  

So far i know Dash Evolution V1 is still scheduled for this summer.
The Dashpay wallet is worked on seperately, and should be launched soon(ish)

I think the order of release will be :

* v0.12.3 for the Dash core wallet (full blockchain needed)
* DashPay wallet (light spv wallet, no full blockchain needed)
* Dash Evolution V1 (Decentralized API, DashDrive implementation, userfriendly wallet, integration with phone apps, no full blockchain needed)

They are working on updating the roadmap to better reflect this, once we have an updated roadmap things should become more clear.

Oke thanks I will check it out! There isnt some blog or tread on the dash forum where they update on the progress of evolution? I coundt find any and I almost never see any articles about in on dash force news. I understand that they wont tell us the details bc of competition. Although it would be nice to read something about the progress since its such a huge operation thats been going on for a long time now and will be for a long time. Maybe im looking in the wrong places ?

I just like the vision of Dash and how steady the token has been, I think other top token should look at this model and learn how to grow the value of a coin both from a management and adoption perspective.

My main takeaway from 2017 is that Dash dropped out of the Top 10 on CMC (surpassed by several projects in terms of value, including LTC and now even XMR).

This year might very well be a decisive year for Dash's ambition.

Dash Domination in Venezuela

“I never saw so many people using Dash,” Samuel Barbosa reflected.

Barbosa, a Dash technology developer in Latin America, was enthusiastic from the moment after he landed when he was driven to a restaurant and not only had the dinner paid in Dash, but also the driver. After the small dinner, it was onto the nighttime Dash meetup where conference attendees gathered to share stories while they ate and paid in Dash. The next day, the conference attendees gathers to hear speakers discuss the advantages of using Dash. The environment grew even larger and more energetic when the familiar Dash City (Ciudad Dash) was erected with 53 merchants offering “food, art, clothing and even motorcycles from local entrepreneurs” in exchange for Dash.

This conference was the fifth iteration of the Dash Caracas Conference in Venezuela, which has steadily been growing each conference. The conference last year had such an influx of people interested in Dash, that a repeat conference was held to satisfy demand.  These conferences continue to exemplify how swiftly Dash is spreading throughout the country.

Perhaps after Evolution is released (>2 years behind schedule), Dash will retake its "anonymity market share" from Monero.

Before iCEBREAKER wets his nappies with glee at pipping Dash on ranking, from the perspective of any single holder, Dash never lost its "anonymity market share".

Monero just printed 4 times the coins that Dash did over the last few years.

Meanwhile, I'm pleased to see that Dash's superior monetary anonymity model (as I've consistently pointed out) is now starting to win over. Monero's use of a centralised algo that simply obscures the trading environment instead of making addresses fungibly transparent is now coming home to roost and opening up threat vectors for the entire supply. At least with Dash's decentralised privacy, if you de-anonymise one transaction that's all you get - one transaction. You have it all to do again for the next.

With XMR's centralised algo, you get one attack vector and you blow everybody's security to kingdom come !  

So much for "peer review".

If I were iCEBREAKER though, I'd thank my stars for the MoneroV fork + the massive supply growth since it's part of an essential compensation package to keep marketcap alive in the face of floundering transaction count, toxic blockchain bloat-factors, buggy wallets, barely useable network and obfuscation algos with more holes than my favourite pasta colander.

Now is a great time to sell that XMR for dash, XMR at a high Dash at a low, when dash comes up in value during this summer for Dash evolution V1 you can make some big bucks off turning that XMR to dash!

I used to like Mintpal.. Poloniex is used for a long time, used to be a top volume exchange.

Europol Sees Criminals Moving Towards More Private Coins

The unified European police agency, Europol, is observing a “distinct shift” to cryptocurrencies that “provide a higher level of privacy.”

Jarek Jacubchek, a cybercrime analyst at Europol, pined those quotes as he went on to discuss how Monero, Zcash, and Dash have various methods of anonymity and confidentiality. Jacubchek complained that the inability of enforcement agencies to tie transactions to individuals limits their ability to identify suspects, gather evidence of criminality, and seize criminal proceeds.

Jacubchek further discussed how the use of more privacy focused coins indicates a degree of sophistication among criminals since they are required to go through multiple exchanges and currencies to achieve the highest level of privacy. He recognized that simply using cryptocurrencies isn’t inherently illegal, but feared that cryptocurrencies could be prone to use by criminals.

Dash Boost “Micro Treasury” System Launches Public Beta

DashBoost has launched the public beta of its micro treasury system, showcasing a thorough second layer to the ecosystem.

The underpinning of Dash’s decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) is its treasury system, whereby 10% of all new coins created are set aside for funding development and various other projects. In order to submit a proposal for funding, a five Dash spam filter fee is required, which presently prices out many smaller projects with an entry fee of nearly $3,000 USD. In order to still allow smaller projects to compete in the space, DashBoost was launched as a “micro treasury” to replicate the current system on a much smaller scale.
