Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

What I Learned About Consensus From Dash’s Branding Vote

Dash is presently in discussions surrounding a potential branding update, and as logos and colors hit a highly emotional spot in people’s minds, the debate has been vigorous. Watching it all unfold has taught me a lot about Dash and consensus, however, as I’ve seen the whole process go down in a way much different than we’ve noticed in the Bitcoin community, where there’s no way of obtaining an absolute vote to solve an issue.

Those who vote remain calm, at peace with either result

One thing I noticed among masternodes has been an odd sense of measured calm, even relating to a highly emotional and potentially controversial issue. Debate tends to include a higher degree of questions and information gathering than pure community discussions, and conclusions tend to indicate which way a particular masternode will vote, and why. Additionally, I’ve noticed an implied acknowledgement that their opinion alone doesn’t matter, with a “let’s see how the vote goes” attitude. Contrasting masternode debate with that of the general public, I’ve often noticed a night-and-day difference in the sense of responsibility and prudence.

Dash has many advantages, such as high safety factor, good cycle of development, autonomy and so on. It is no wonder that many investors will be favored.

Binance is Opening an Office in Malta

The CEO of Binance, Zhao Changpeng, said they plan to open a “fiat-to-crypto exchange” office in Malta due to regulation uncertainty.

Zhao elaborated that they “are very confident we can announce a banking partnership there soon,” and that “Malta is very progressive when it comes to crypto and fintech.” As evidence of Malta’s crypto friendliness, Zhao was invited by the Maltese government to review a pending bill that favored crypto businesses. The prime minster of the European island-state, Joseph Muscat, also tweeted “Welcome to #Malta @binance, [w]e aim to be the global trailblazers in the regulation of blockchain-based businesses.” The announcement comes as the world’s largest crypto exchange, located in Hong Kong, is beginning to face larger regulatory pressure in Asia.

China was one of the first to put larger pressure on crypto businesses. Recently, Japan’s Financial Services Agency issued a warning to Binance for operating without a license. Binance had an office in Japan and was in the process of obtaining a license, but pulled its staff to avoid a clash with regulators. Binance is currently engaged in talks with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, whom issued warnings to exchanges to not trade digital assets without a license, but the exchange is unsure of what will be the outcomes of the talks. As another risk hedge, Binance also announced plans to launch a decentralized exchange in the coming months, but that the technology is not ready to replace their current infrastructure.

Search for regulation friendly economic zones

Hong Kong grew to its current financial dominance because of its relatively relaxed laws and open markets compared to its neighbors. However, as crypto begins to take on the properties of early financial infrastructure, Hong Kong and other financial power houses are beginning to reverse their history and tighten the regulations on crypto businesses. Perceptive of a competitive advantage, Malta is launching very pro-crypto regulations such as the Malta Digital Innovation Authority in an attempt to become the new financial capital for crypto related businesses.

First Bitcoin, Now Ethereum Faces Governance Crisis

One month ago, Ethereum’s cofounder Vitalik Buterin said the project’s governance is “not that bad.” Talk about damning with faint praise. Ethereum presently finds itself in the same position Bitcoin was in for several years: a decision needs to be made, but the project lacks a formal governance structure.

What decision?

Ethereum uses a Turing-complete programming language, and that gives users enormous flexibility but it also creates a huge attack surface for malcontents. When faced with the disastrous hack of TheDAO two years ago, the community decided to hard fork the network and essentially turn back the clock to before the hack occurred. In doing so, the network forever gave up any claims of immutability.

How about DASH? Have DASH faxed the same issues as Bitcoin and Ethereu,m?

Dash fixed this some years ago, when it created its decentralized governance and budget system.

Bitcoin and Ethereum are missing structured governance alltogether.

Bringing the Fun back to Fungibility

Transactions. Wallets, blockchains, and databases

Dash and other leading cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Litecoin, etc.) all have similar properties and functionality when it comes to transacting and tracking ownership of value. In a nutshell, they all maintain a persistent, decentralized, ledger of what cryptocurrencies call “outputs”. You can think of an output as a result of a transaction in the form of some unit of value. Additionally maintained is the cryptographic tie —called a private key—; between a person and their permission to spend an output from a previous transaction. As people transact, they essentially trade control of their ability to spend those outputs. Conversely, a wallet doesn’t really “contain” Dash. A wallet maintains that private key for the user. If you tally up all the values of those outputs, controlled by that private key, you have figured out the “balance” of your wallet. This is why sometimes people like to refer to cryptocurrency wallets as more akin to a keyring than a wallet.

Excellent! This thread is extremely meaningful one because it reminds newcomers in the crypto world (even for old ones) about the key importance of private keys. Private keys contain all transaction histories, all information about accounts; users (of all cryptocurrencies) will lose all assets they have if they lose their private keys (might be fires, unexpected damages of hard-disks, accidentally deaths, etc.)
Please store your private keys in different places (of course, safe places) in different methods (digital (offline), paper, online types).

After long awaiting finally Dash has came down at my expected price range once again. Who is observing the cycling based changes in Dash's prices can understand fully we have one more safe zone to buy. This is how I deal with dash everything going around will play role of fuel to push the price up very soon.

Edward Snowden Does Not Think “Bitcoin will Last Forever”

The famous NSA whistle blower, Edward Snowden, thinks Bitcoin’s open and public ledger will ultimately be the downfall of Bitcoin.

Snowden said that “[e]verbody is focused on the transaction rate limitations of bitcoin being its central flaw, and that is a major one, but … the long-lasting flaw, is its public ledger”. Snowden elaborated that “you cannot have a lifelong history of everyone’s purchases” because it does not “work out well at scale.” Snowden admitted that Bitcoin will still have an “enduring value for a long time”, but that the core development team needs to improve their rate of development or they will not be able to compete.

Snowden hinted that he once used Bitcoin to hide his identity when he revealed privacy abuse by the NSA including the NSA spying on Bitcoin users. However, Snowden now prefers Zcash since its techniques to encrypt blockchain data was developed by academic cryptographers.

Dash Added to Abra Investment App, NegocieCoins Brazilian Exchange, and Bitit Exchange

Dash has been added to Abra, NegocieCoins, and Bitit in a continuing adoption accumulation.

A popular mobile investing app, Abra formerly only supported Bitcoin and Ethereum on its platform. Recently, however, the service added 18 additional coins, Dash among them, for trading. The service allows users to add funds via bank transfer, debit card, cash deposit, or Bitcoin, and immediately trade them for many other cryptocurrencies such as Dash.

Great achievements! DASH will keep their top positions as a leader of Masternode, private coin in the crypto ecosystem, particularly in Latin America countries.

Edward Snowden Does Not Think “Bitcoin will Last Forever”
~
Agree to disagree! Bitcoin will exist forever, but it might lose their current dominant position in the cryptosphere. Why? Because Bitcoin has so many disadvantages in comparisions with other alcoins, including DASH (of course, lol), Ethereum, Monero, Solaris (potential ones, and might be a second DASH) have much faster transaction speeds, lower transaction fees, and more interesting specifications. Therefore, users might change to use good altcoins instead of Bitcoin.
Bitcoin Cash is another good option for crypto users.
