Bitcoin Cash Community Increasingly Sees Dash As Biggest Competition ~snip~ Increasingly, members of the Bitcoin Cash community see Dash as its major competitor.
As highlighted by a recent post on the /r/BTC subreddit, Bitcoin Cash’s community increasingly sees other payments-focused coins, mainly Dash and Litecoin, as competition, rather than traditional rival Bitcoin, which is increasingly moving away from focus as digital cash to a settlement layer for off-chain payment technologies. The original poster outlined some of the reasons why Dash should be seen as the main competitor to Bitcoin Cash:It doesn't make any sense to make compare with crap Btrash from my observation DASH has more superior tech and more talented team behind it. Soon it will happen it will replace this fake coin easily because it has more bigger community and better platform. yes dash has more and features and a great team behind it, but its positive that they keep comparing dash with them for the benefit of this coin, the more we are exposed the more the adoption out their. |

Fidelity Launches Separate Custodian Company Facilitating Institutional Investor Access Fidelity, the investment firm that manages more than $7.2 trillion in client assets, has announced they will be launching a separate company called Fidelity Digital Asset Services to handle cryptocurrency custody and execute trades for institutional investors.
The new Fidelity Digital Asset Service emerged out of the Fidelity Center for Applied Technology (FCAT) incubator for artificial intelligence and blockchain projects. The new head of Fidelity Digital Assets, Tom Jessop, said how the service emerged when they “saw that there were certain things institutions needed that only a firm like Fidelity could provide”. Fidelity Investments Chairman and CEO, Abigail Johnson, said that they “expect to continue investing and experimenting, over the long-term, with ways to make this emerging asset class easier for their clients to understand and use”. |

If you look at the one month chart of DASH now on coinmarketcap.com you will see a descending value for DASH while Ethereum, Monero and Bitcoin are generally stable on average over the same time period. Why has DASH been going down over the last month? It does not make sense given that DASH has much less coins in circulation than Ethereum has but Ethereum has remained quite stable in price on average over the same time period. Why has DASH been going down over the last month?Old charts below make sense for DASH and the others.... But why has DASH stepped out of this trend as seen below while the others have remained relatively stable on average? |

Dash Plans Major Privacy Overhaul in Upcoming 12.4 Update Dash is working on implementing a series of improvements to the PrivateSend anonymous transaction feature, including hints at future encryption-based solutions.
As part of the upcoming 12.4 update, expected for release over the coming weeks, a series of optimizations and fixes have been added to PrivateSend, Dash’s privacy feature which implements masternodes to mix the funds of many users so that the resulting transaction’s origin is hidden. BitGo Closes New Series B Funding, Advances Cryptocurrency Services for Institutional Investors BitGo, which provides institutional-grade custodial accounts and multi-signature wallets, has recently closed a $57.5 million USD Series B fundraising round that included investors like Goldman Sachs and Mike Novogratz.
Goldman Sachs and Novogratz’s Galaxy Digital Ventures combined investments reached around $15 million USD and the new fundraising round brings BitGo’s total funding to around $70 million USD. Goldman has previously announced that they would be launching their own cryptocurrency custodial service, but has yet to do so and Mike Novogratz has been a longtime advocate of cryptocurrencies on Wall Street. |
