Dash Now Available for Direct Purchase in Official Wallet Thanks to Uphold Partnership

Uphold has been integrated directly into the official Dash mobile wallet, allowing users to easily buy and use Dash within a single app.

Announced at the Money 20/20 conference, cryptocurrency brokerage service Uphold has been directly added to the official Dash mobile wallet. This allows users to sign up for an Uphold account, login on the Dash wallet, and easily buy or sell Dash with bank transfer or credit card right within the wallet, making buying Dash for a new or repeat user very streamlined. According to Uphold’s Chief Revenue Officer Robin O’Connell, this integration will impact Dash’s focus as a usable currency for real-world purchases and applications:

Those cards in collaboration with Fuzex are awesome. I am aware of the functionality already and now light blue color with Dash's logo make them much more attractive. I would like to see when they will be available because till now have seen them in videos only for last few months. Money2020 will bring Dash back on the table again in my opinion.

Monaco, now known as Crypto.com, shipped their cards to customers this week. Europe is next. The oldest player in crypto visa card business. The cards have cash back and airport lounge perks.

The main problem for me is that the one who issues the cards still depends on how much the company visa will comply with the contract.
Previously, many issues were blocked after some time and the request for solvers, which led to unpleasant things.

Crypto is a very unique industry, where the line between "deserves to be in jail" and "leading member of the community" is as thin as one-ply toilet paper.

You missed the continuation of the bearmarket and how that effect both Bitcoin and Altcoin prices.
Have you checked Ethereum price lately ? or Ripple ? or any of the top 15 cryptocurrency prices ?

Since Dash was 500/600 usd in march 2018, you are missing about 7 months i reckon... that is a long time not looking at any price.
I wish i could take a break away from price like that.

Here is an overview of some of the top 15 cryptocurrencies, with the price between 12th of march 2018 and 24th of october 2018 :

BTC     $9602 - $6425
ETH      $724  - $204
Ripple  $0,83 - $0,45
BCH      $1117 - $442
LTC      $187  - $52
XMR      $282  - $106
Dash      $531  - $157

(Prices are taken from coinmarketcap)

Yeah I see, let's say I took a semi-rest from crypto, I was only checking price of few others including Ether and BTC.

Sweet times to buy it seems!

I don't get what you exactly trying to say, but MCO/Crypto.com is it's own issuer, no third party. That's the reason why it took more than a year to come with the product. 95% of other crypto visa cards have to work with an issuer, so they are not dealing directly with Visa. It means that cards like FuzEx and TenX are third parties, they both have an issuer that deals for them with Visa. MCO deals directly with Visa.

Dash Core Group Renames Upcoming Versions to Properly Reflect Major Updates

Liz Robuck, Dash Core Group Chief Product Owner and previous guest on the Three Amigos podcast, has posted in Dash Forum that they will be renaming Version 0.12.4 to 0.13.0 and 0.13.0 becomes 1.0 “due to the magnitude of this software update and in keeping with proper semantic versioning practices”

I think we will be able to see the price even lower if we are lucky, and this will be just the land for long-term investment. If I do everything right to run my node, do I still need to have 1k tokens?

The netwerk checks the 1000 Dash collateral regularly, if it does not detect the collateral (because it was moved or never there in the first place) it will either throw your masternode from the payment list or
never activate it as a masternode in the first place. So yes, you really do need that 1k tokens.

And yes, these are pretty good times to buy if you have the money and understand the risks.

Very interesting. Maybe its related to the new Spondoolies ASIC miner (540GH) ?

The power to operate this ASIC X11 miner is pretty high though (4,400 W) and the price pretty steep ($15,500.00).

Do you think the ATH hashrate could do a Price suppresion in Dash?. Miners must pay the new hardware and sell fast the dash at market.

The hash now whith new powerest hardware is concentred in less hands, and them (miners), are not holders, they only want fast cash.

I think the price decline (now and in the nearby future) has more to do with the current bearmarket, then with Dash approaching ATH hashrate.
Also the hashrate took an upward reversal around late august, while the Dash price decline has been going on all year.

I've been thinking for some time that a perfect storm has been created to suppress the price.

Increase of the hash in few hands (new hardware)

Growing treasury needs (sell higher% of Dash to get the same $)

I think that if, for example, the price continues to fall, it is very possible that the decline will accelerate for the reasons explained above.

higher price, less number of dash is necessary to put on sale and vice versa.

Currencies such as LTC, XRP, Monero, XLM ... are not subject to this financing problem that Dash has. And its decline in the bear market (2018) has been much lower than in Dash, who is obliged to finance high fixed costs.

The advantages of a high price could now become a major drawback entering a bearish spiral very dangerous for the DAO if the bear market lasts for example 3 years.

Greetings and good luck to all the holders.

Bitcoin Dusting Attack Shows Increasing Privacy Threats in Cryptocurrency

A new attack on Bitcoin’s privacy may result in user addresses being linked, emphasizing the need for increased focus on privacy in the modern cryptocurrency age.

Dubbed the “dusting attack,” the specific attack works by sending small amounts of funds to a wide range of addresses, and then watching the movement of those funds on the blockchain. When those inputs are combined with other addresses, the addresses are linked together, allowing attackers to group addresses and move closer to de-anonymizing users. To mitigate this, the Samourai Wallet recommended using coin control to manually lock the offending input to avoid spending it, a feature also available in many core cryptocurrency clients:
