Hashrate swings are wild.
Somebody is able to mobilize 70 GHash in a matter of moments.
On p2pool there is a block found on a wrong chain?

Some of the p2pools are still submitting forked blocks-mining something else till they get it sorted. |

That is called wafflepool Multipools are an issue, regular ones arent. @lonecrouton, having only masternodes will highly centralize dark. There is thousands of miners, vs a thousand and some masternodes. Centralisation. |

I don't know much about TA, but according to what i have learned so far, the RSI is showing oversold for DRK.
My personal guess would be that the reason is that DRK wasn't moving fast enough, so there was some cashing out of DRK into BTC going on so they could maximize profit on this rise.
Probably when the BTC rise settles a bit it'll give DRK the room to rise further.
Or i could be totally wrong, just my 2c

Bitstamp and BTCe are off the charts with some of the most manic trading I've ever seen.
Just watched a 200 BTC sellwall getplaced and bought in under a minute. Arbitrage spreads are widening due to the rapid rise - $10 from Bitstamp to BTCe. I think Bitfinex is even further ahead.
Just as I'm writing this, there goes another 100 BTC wall on BTCe - vapourised.
Where is this leading ? What's going on ? Is it simply that everyone's been waiting months for a bottom and have collectively decided that this is it and there's huge short covering ?
Make no doubt about it, this was started by someone in the know of upcoming news, likely related to the ETF, and it's now turning into short-covering/bull panic-buying. JL That seems possible, ETF or maybe bitlicense news coming? Or maybe it's just short covering following news of the big hedge fund trading on OKCoin. Sentiment seems to have been quite poor lately, evidence of this is that bitfinex BTC swaps have been continually high the last few weeks (lots of shorts). Adding to the volatility: 20x leveraged BTC futures started on OKCoin a week ago. If there is new money coming into the system, this rising BTC tide should lift the premiere alts as well. A bit concerning that we don't see that in LTC or DOGE yet. I know those two coins are crap but they indicate market preference for risk in the altcoin ecosystem. Kind of hope they turn around, might foretell a further DRK rally. |

If a thousand individual miners "pool" their hashing in a mining pool, they are now 1 entity. (total number of solo miners) + (total number of pools) = x. Is x > or < (total number of masternodes)? |

I hope people are not dumping DRK for Bitcoin thinking that they're jumping on the Bitcoin/USD bandwagon. That's the kind of insane move some people do make believe it or not. DRK market is actually looking pretty healthy despite having the spotlight taken off it for a while. We've had a bit of a dump during the big BTC rise but only a few thousand in volume. The 5-minute wave is about to go positive which will help to level out the longer cycles. Resistance above 6 looks solid. The 4-hour decided to delay its recovery and take another dip but double dips are not uncommon after a big rise before the correction is fully in. Marketcap wise we've had massive gains from today's Bitcoin revaluation - a good 30% basically. That leaves Darkcoin with a gazumping great 4-5 fold margin over its nearest anon-coin competitor. P.S. It's not FUD if it's true... True but their methodology of posting repeated identical tweets from different accounts is a clear attempt to spin two day old news as something big that investors should sell on. Smells like FUD to me. The opposite of hyping. |

Congrats ! I didn't. I've had a run of absolutely sh*t trades the last 3 months. CLOAK, NEOS included. Shrivelled up to nothing. Luckily they were just hedges and I tend to not plough more than 1 to 1.5 BTC into a hedge but I've stopped buying anything now because everything's burning me except the old tried and trusted. I might try BitsharesX next since everyone seems to say it's so fantastic but I don't understand it. |
