I need to ask, what is the value of buying this miner? With only 300K Scrypt and 8G SHA256 what is the point? We're talking over $62 per GH when looking at mining Bitcoin, that's insane.
It's the first scrypt asic ever. Right, but isn't it about as effective as a Radeon 7790 and uses about as much power? If the ASIC isn't any more efficient than a GPU the cost is pretty prohibitive. Even if it's the first ScryptAsic why to pay so high price, if we have other ways to pay much less than that?! I just got an 55nm 200GHs miner from China and paid for it, with custom and VAT tax 18.25$/GHs. I got prices from Jack, and will make a short quick comparative study. Hope it worth buying them.

Yes my unit is working and hashing at the advertised 300kh/s
Care to show screenshots? I see lots of people claiming they work, and lots of pictures of hardware, but absolutely no proof. And the only people claiming they work are the same people trying to sell them. And again I've talked to people in person outside of these forums who have them in hand and claim they do not work, or at least did not when received.

I posted a short video last page. I am not a reseller. It took a little fiddling to get started, but it worked. I didn't let it run long though, since I had other project going on at the time. It's fine if you don't believe me, but there are some much more credible people in this very thread also vouching for its function.

What I (and others) would like to see is this hardware working in notable mining software such as bfgminer and cgminer. Currently the only software provided is a hack of cpuminer (my understanding) that barely works, if it works. Again, my point is that these manufacturers should be sending hardware to the mining software authors so that this stuff works when it hits the streets. Instead they send them to the folks that can help re-sell the hardware and hype it. Edit: and before pointing out that they've also forked cgminer - so did Bitmaintech. And it was still several revisions before that code was ever included in cgminer, and never worked with other ASICs such as Block Erupters. Edit #2: also not trying to "call out" the resellers or really anyone else. Beastlymac (and others) have been fantastic at making sure the miner authors have access to what they need in order to support everyone's mutual user-base. I am simply saying this shouldn't be the (lone) responsibility of the reseller. These samples went out more than a week ago, and not one went to anyone who could help on the software side.

I agree; getting the beta units up took some technical knowledge. The software and documentation need a lot of help. The devices did go to people that can help, even if some of them have been busy with day jobs since they received them. Personally, I received something that looked and worked better than I expected for a beta unit.
I don't know what is being purchased and sold right now, but your points make a good checklist for things that should be cleaned up for production release.
