any news from devs? they are not active for 2 month
As announced on Discord while back, due to the lack of member participation we (our company) have decided to quit on core development for this project. We do have some plans for the chain, but they are only as public as described in the chat. If there are marketing guys out there (professionals only) interested in continuing public development and coin use, please feel free to contact me. Pretty clear to me, if nobody will decide to continue the core development, CHC is history. For the minute, so happy that I sold all my CHC long time ago. Well, that could be. On the other hand side, anyone could pick up development as we have left in a state being already one of the most sophisticated MN coins and even the next step of evolution 80% finished. The only reason not to move forward was marketing issues, unfortunately that is a crucial link in the whole chain of success. Shortly after my announcement, there was some activity in the chat regarding those points we've been waiting for more than a year but that didn't last long and turned into a flatline pretty quickly. As for our part, we had a certain budget reserved for the development with the aim for the governance system to continue covering expenses once it's used up. But the best gov system doesn't help if there's no demand and there for the generated assets can't be sold. That way our stop-loss has kicked in and similar to trading, the golden rule is to NEVER lower your stop-loss. In order to gain ANY benefit of last year's dev work, we decided to use the chain for training and experimental purpose in future unless somebody is willing to fix that weak link called marketing. Otherwise the chain itself renders pretty useless for the public and there for can be used as example as long as it exists. |

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Still think CHC has a future too.
Chart says me price will come back 50 000 sat. First goal.
During last year there were good changes with CHC. But it was not with price...    My goal is 50 000 sat. Without changes. Indeed, is much better than a couple of months back. But with a single exchange and such a low trading volume, won't happen too soon. On top of that crytopia is not anymore the exchange from last year. First step would be to have it listed on at least 1 medium-big exchange. Just bought some CHC at 650 sat. Unbelievable! Yes, it is good step to be listed on at least 1 medium-big exchange. In this case there will be other price. I hope. Hi, guys! What's happened with CHC? Just bought some CHC at 20-60 sat. Unbelievable! |

CHC experienced a double spend attack based on an exploit in the bitcoin code https://bitcoincore.org/en/2018/09/20/notice/It was discovered and resolved, approx. 2 hours after the first invalid block the chain has been reverted and the next valid block has been mined. Cryptopia has been informed about the issue and immediately suspended deposits, withdrawals and trading. Unfortunately due to another unexpected behaviour in BTC https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/issues/14341the nodes didn't automatically switch to the longest chain, they need to be stopped and re-started manually with -reindex flag. Priorities have been set 1.) protect the blockchain 2.) secure the network 3.) communicate For the explorer, the owner of the site is temporarily unavailable and it is expected to be rectified by the next working day. |

LOL. the price chart of Chaincoin looks amazing. Very silent chart. I can not find available exchanges for Chaincoin. Can you help me, please. I will consider to buy the coin weeks later after making deeply investigation about the current/ recent progress of Chaincoin project. The only functional exchange that i know of was cryptopia and the market is paused after the attack, if i know of any i will inform you but none for now |

Attack maybe the main reason why ChainCoin lost more than 90% of its yesterday price.
It's terrible time for Chaincoin investors.
