Hello everyone!
CrunchPool is now hosted in Canada for low latency to the cheap electricity areas in both Europe and the US. We have upgraded to a new Canadian datacenter with great connectivity and very low latency. We will also add several other cryptocurrencies then, stay tuned!

ZERO/LOW FEES ON MOST POOLS!

(no registration required! just join with your dogecoin address as username, mine, and get paid!!)[/b]

support P2POOL! it also protects cryptocurrencies from 51% attack! nobody owns p2pool!

Some tips about p2pool:
- It can take several hours for payments to ramp up. You are quite likely to earn more than in normal pools in the long run.
- You can use several p2pool nodes as backup: your work is not lost, you'll get paid for doing work on whichever nodes you choose
- Use a lower intensity if you can to keep a low latency (if you're getting a lot of invalid shares)
- Check ping to the nodes you're connecting to. Choose the nodes that are closer to you.
- In cgminer, if you have a good config with -g 1, it works better than -g 2 for p2pool. Use only one thread if possible.
- NO registration required! just join with your dogecoin address as username, mine, and get paid!!

FAQ:
 *  When I get coins? Look at "Stats"->"Expected time to block" - this is the estimated time after which you will get a coins.
 *  Where can I find the stats of my miner? Look at "Graph" -> find your own wallet address.
 *  Why I got so much coins? how much got the others? Look at "Stats"->"Last blocks", click on "last block link" you see payouts for miners (find your wallet address).
 *   This pool has a low hashrate, why I should mine here? P2Pool network functions as a whole, no matter on which node you mine. What matters is the distance from your mining rig - network connection delays.

(we have a 1% fee, but you keep tx fees so it's like 0%)

Remember! You have to mine 24 hours minimum before you compare the amount of coins! Please read about p2pool payout logic this wiki: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/P2Pool#Payout_logic

TO THE MOON!!

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I've been mining on this doge pool for 15 hours and my wallet isn't showing any payouts at all. 0 unconfirmed 0 confirmed. The site is showing my miner under active miners but not under payouts. Never had an issue like this on normal pools so I'm guessing it's not a configuration error on my end.

Really good latency for me on this pool however. Will absolutely stay on this pool if I start getting payouts

Any idea of what might be wrong?

Hi! you have a low hashrate (500kh/s), it will take a while for you to solve shares on P2pool, maybe one or two days, so your payouts will be quite erratic. Under share explorer-> node shares, you can see which shares we have solved in this node, click on them and you'll see which miner solved each one. After you solve a share you get a slice of the p2pool payouts for some time. If you want more constant payouts, it's better to join a regular pool. On P2Pool you get more or less constant payouts if you have above 2Mhash, but if you have less it will depend on luck.

We've added VERTCOIN to the list of coins (it needs a tweaked cgminer, follow the links in the pool)

I am mining Vertcoin at your pool. First, it worked well. Now it smells fishy. I am mining with 1.5Mh/s and did not get a single payout in the last 24 hours. Just look at VvBKTkujsR2MS8rVKEUzU9jnWrQHHQ4tAm. How is that possible? In a mining pool I would have mined approx. 10 VTC. With P2P-Mining it's zero.

I see people with less power than me and getting much more payouts:
VoE9mG23neSXzwQGMzr9N4PqFeXQhP3JyR
VdBoKS1trj13ZcPTx9GGg4fNYk8KStJAZB

BTW: The list of pool shares was very long a few days ago - now its almost empty. Did someone simply clear it? Where are all those shares now?

It's cleared when the process is restarted.

There is a flaw in a p2pool parameter that has become more and more damaging as difficulty increased. We're going to reboot the whole VTC p2pool network tomorrow evening (all p2pools at the same time) after fixing it. You can also try fixing the difficulty setting your username to YourAddress/0.000001.

Meanwhile, you should try our other VTC pool that's not on p2pool:

We're offeering ZERO fees for life to those who help us mine our first block!

I still don't get it... what happened to my hashing power? The "flaw" made others get the coins I normally deserved? Or will I get any reward for my effort in the future?

If you have a low hashpower you'll get more irregular payouts, only spread across 3 blocks. The change tomorrow changes that to 12 blocks. You are still getting the same when averaged over a few days but now you're having more lucky and unlucky periods (you can go without payouts for many hours then get several in a row and so on). Setting your address to what I said earlier can mitigate that problem somewhat, or you can join a normal (not p2pool) pool.

We have just implemented another patch on p2pool too, that should help small miners get more shares of less value, so payouts will be more frequent. (This is not the patch that requires to restart the vtc sharechain, that one comes tomorrow at 22:00GMT).

Hello, is the Vertcoin p2pool website working properly? I'm mining at 2200kH/s, but can't even see my address on the active miners list. It's been mining for few hours since last boot.

You should be able to see yourself in the active miners list unless you're mining on another p2pool node. Please contact us if this happens again (we have a contact link in the pools).

We've just deployed a new patch for the Auroracoin pool that will let small miners see accepted shares more often. You'll see yourself in the miners list pretty quickly after joining too. People got discouraged before because of this and left the pool, not anymore!

Join us on p2pool and help decentralise the network! Remember, ZERO FEES on the Auroracoin pool!
