Dear Community,


Over the next few days, we will publish the much-anticipated update and merger process document for TitCoin and TittieCoin.
To give everyone a bit of a glimpse of what is to come, I can start by saying we are not killing TitCoin but in fact merging TitCoin and TittieCoin into one.

We will be decommissioning parts os TittieCoin in favour of TIT and parts of TitCoin in favour of TittieCoin, essentially keeping the best bits of each coin to make one Super Coin.
How that will look will be explained at a later date, as I am sure everyone can appreciate what we are doing will be in the best interests of both communities despite the fact
that Titcoin had virtually nothing when we stepped in we are not taking that for granted and are making sure that TitCoin is stronger than ever before as a result of the merge.

Expect an update this week with more info on what to expect.

It's an exciting time and we are happy to be here to guide you through it.

Most Titcoin community members I have talked with so far do not want to merge with TittieCoin. Since this thread was locked, I had to create a new ANN here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5018869.0

The previous Titcoin Discord server was closed, so the remaining Titcoin community moved to a new Discord that is linked in the new ANN. We also have a new Github repository (https://github.com/titcoin/titcoin) that contains an actively developed Titcoin wallet based on Bitcoin 0.16.3. Since most of us do not want to merge with TittieCoin, we will obviously also not follow your "updates" and will keep using the existing Titcoin network as before.

I do not claim to be the "official" Titcoin developer, but you have no right to do so either because you were not elected by our community. Buying the official accounts from the previous developer (or making a deal with that one person) does not make you the "owner" of Titcoin and does not give you the permission to decide about its future. The existing Titcoin exchanges Yobit and Cryptopia consider you to be the official listing contact due to that deal with the previous developer; However that does not give you the right to decide about their user's funds.

We are already in the process of building up a new infrastructure with new pools, block explorers and exchanges in order to defend against your takeover attempt. I would like to invite all Titcoin users here to join us. We would be happy to collaborate with the TittieCoin community for marketing campaigns etc., but "merging" two cryptocurrencies (as far as that is even possible   ) is not in our interest.

I hope that you will agree that "merging" two coins against the interest of one of the two communities does not help anyone.

Because technically you cannot merge two blockchains. You can only combine them in some way and make a third currency, but the original chains will always continue to exist. So if there is a group that also wants to maintain the original coin (which is the case here) it is going to be a big mess and will lead to a lot of confusion.

Dear TittieCoin TIT Community,

We had a conversion with one of the Cryptopia’s Dscord moderators who explained that the email sent to their TTC customers who also happen to be our community was a generic email sent out to serval different altcoin markets at once on that day. It appears that TittieCoin TIT has jumped the transition curve at the best time in the history of altcoins.

There's a group in existence right now who are targeting Proof of Work coins such as the old Proof of Work versions of TittieCon TTC and Titcoin TIT to exploit them by means of a 51% attack. A 51% is an exploit carried out in order to facilitate a double spend on a network. The attacker rents or owns the equivalent of or more than 51% of the altcoins total network hashrate. Once the attacker has obtained this advantage, the attacker is able to trick the network into thinking that the attacker's chain is the main chain and this is where the attacker can take advantage of the 51% attack power to spend currency that has already been spent, this is known as a double spend.

This brings me back to where we are in the evolutionary lifecycle of cryptocurrencies and why its important to understand that TitCoin holders are at an advantage due to the TittieCoin acquisition that now makes the TittieCoin Developers the Official developers of TitCoin. We have taken the decision to drop the old exploitable version of TItCoin using the sha256 POW algorithm in favour or TittieCoin TIT that is not susceptible to this exploit.

We have always said that it is the choice of the TItCoin holder to swap or not to swap. However, bear in mind that as the Offical Developers of TitCoin we have taken the strategic decision to merge TittieCoin and TitCoin into a superior code base and the merge for TitCoin holders is facilitated by means of a coin swap from the old vulnerable version of TitCoin to the new future ready version TittieCoin TIT 2.1.
