Hello Gentlemen,
I have been holding Redd since the day it changed the algo but I have never seen divs. How often should we expect divs for this coin?

Well how many Redd do you have? The more you have, the faster you will get a stake. I have more than 250K coins. I used to mine this coin but I lost track of its progress ever since. I'm wondering if it is worth to hold or cash it into BTC and move on. It used to be a very good coin to mine the devs hurt it in my opinion but only time will tell. it could go either way. it I get divs for holding then I have an incentive to hold the bag. Thanks. |

it I get divs for holding then I have an incentive to hold the bag. Thanks. Your coins have gained age but have you been running an active node? you need to have your wallet open and unlocked to stake coins in order to get a reward. This is the concept behind PoSV. |

what the heck! you see cash flow daily?! my wallet is showing my expected time to earn is 7 days! I had the computer turned off for more than a month. I did not know I had to keep it running 24/7. |

well I have over 1 million reddcoin and have only minted once. 174 coins was my reward and I stake 24/7 on my alt system. PoSV works like a weighted lotto system coin age + Stake = reward. 1200 - 1800 coins minted a day, I am not sure how you are staking that much because the system is designed to pay ~5% annually on staked aged coins. If we consider the amount of coins you have and the rate you are staking you are gaining ~45-60% interest annually at a profit of roughly 500,000 coins. I think someone maybe exaggerating a bit. considering the coins are supposed to lower the reward amount every time a coin stakes and is rewarded for a balanced economy.

Yes I understand that from some other coins that do it as well. It is a great feature indeed.  Is this normal though it has been running nonstop. Still not staking the other wallet before it messed up would say staking after it sync'd.  What wallet is this? I like that it shows the conversion rates and estimated value right on it. Its the first I've ever seen anything like this. |

It is the Social Wallet. It has some fun features I am just exploring now. The wallet is right on the Reddcoin website. I just updated my wallet the other day and I completely missed it. It stink it needs to download the entire blockchain again. I would have been nice if it could use the one already downloaded for QT and use the same addresses. I take it I'll need to import my existing address from QT to the social wallet, if I want to use them? |

If the server goes AND there are no backups, then yes. However, most tipbot operators for most coins will have multiple backups. The other issue though is that you are entrusting your coins to another person. That's one of the major motivators behind Social X: to create a system that allows for social media tipping directly from your wallet, so that you are in charge of your coins, not some third party. In that way, Reddcoin's platform will surpass Dogecoin and Bitcoin in tipping, as it unifies all tipping among all social media platforms into one account, and most improtantly, that account is yours, not someone else's. |

Just download and sync. It works well so far. I was also able to import the key from a messed up qt wallet I was using and recover my coins. It is the Social Wallet. From what I can tell from the whitepaper social x will allow for secure flawless one click social tipping without the need for 3rd party entities leaving you with total control of your coins at all times. |
