I'm sure that traditional financial institutions be affected by Blockchain technology in the future or even replaced by it, but before the more extensive monetary administrations and managing an account enterprises move to blockchain  we should be aware of scammers and be careful in our choice. Although I don't think the fiasco with Namecoin is over and I do believe we have made it hard for BitcoinExpress

I heard there a some ICO projects created to replace blockchain. Like IOTA, and many more. They promote a more secure and faster system. So this means this is a threat to Bitcoin and to other altcoins someday.
In my opinion we should consider investing into it. This might be our chance to become an instant whale someday.

Question is how do you know for sure it's more secure or faster? You can read the whitepaper and do the research, but at some point you will just have to bite the bullet and trust that a blockchain project is doing what they are promising.

And with some projects is more than just changing up the username and password. I was looking at this one the other day https://projectpai.com/ and they are talking about using your voice and image to create an avatar. So that is a lot of personal data you could be potentially have floating around on the blockchain.

Many projects are a process of evolution in the digital world. Some disappear, others appear. Before there is anything worthwhile, there will be many more failures.

I do believe that when Tron launches there main net,  they will become a leader in the blockchain industry.  I'd recommend butting them before the 31st, and making sure you are not transferring then around on the 31st..... trx coin burn will only burn coins in transaction.

I haven't seen anybody post about what would be my biggest worry if I were trying out alternative block chains. I realize this may be perceived as "Gavin is FUD'ding anything that isn't bitcoin!"  (FUD == Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt)  But I think some of you might be forgetting some basic computer security fundamentals in the excitement to be early adopters.

When I first heard about bitcoin, my questions were:

1) Can it possibly work (do the ideas for how it works make sense)?
2) Is it a scam?
3) If it is not a scam, could it open my computer up to viruses/trojans if I run it?

I answered those questions by:

1) Reading and understanding Satoshi's whitepaper.  Then thinking about it for a day or two and reading it again.
2) Finding out everything I could about the project.  I read every forum thread here (there were probably under a hundred threads back then) and read Satoshi's initial postings on the crypto mailing list.
3) Downloaded and skimmed the source code to see if it looked vulnerable to buffer overflow or other remotely exploitable attacks.

If I were going to experiment with an alternative block-chain, I'd go through the same process again. But I'm an old conservative fuddy-duddy.

If you want to take a risk on a brand-new alternative block-chain, I'd strongly suggest that you:

1) Run the software in a virtual machine or on a machine that doesn't contain anything valuable.
2) Don't invest more money or time than you can afford to lose.
3) Use a different passphrase at every exchange site.

That's really makes sense,  thanks for advice. Very wise decision completing all instructions above.
I'm thinking on investing in some platform that I think is cool.
This helps me out, thanks a lot.

i think thath blockchain with popular media, the prototypical system used to explain blockchain is the BTC network. Its useful to thing of three main types of blockchain or distributed ledger blockcahin exists at the cross over between economics and technology. To apply it effectively, we need to understand both side of its personality.

I believe that alternative blockages are a good tool to decentralize and open up opportunities for all who think about it.

Blockchain technology has great value and a great future. Smart contacts were invented a long time ago, thanks to the technology of blocki in 2008, they turned out to be implemented in 2013 thanks to Vitalik Buterin and Ethereum. Clever contracts based on cryptography, to contribute to better security than traditional contracts based on law, and to reduce other transaction costs associated with concluding contracts and possible legal costs. This is a unique and excellent technology that gives the world business to improve.

Mona coin (Monacoin) is the first cryptographic currency in Japan born in December 2013 It is a famous Ascii art, "Mona" as a motif

Mona coin is not a centralized type that someone manages and operates, it is a fully distributed payment system maintained by a client program executed on each user's PC.

Although the cryptographic currency tends to be strong speculatively in the world, the monetary coin tends to be used more frequently in other coins such as development of various services by the user, construction of the shrine, pseudo-punishment etc. It is a crypto-currency that continues to evolve on a community basis

Of course, first of all, thanks to the author!
Of course, the BlockChain is very useful, convenient and very popular today. But I want to note. It has always been and will be so, that the more popular something becomes, the more interest it causes among scammers. And no matter what protection there is, scammers will still bypass it, so you can not be 100% sure of anything, you need to improve this offspring, this creation, because people use smart contacts, they trust them.
