People have different standards and only those who will excel can get merit from higher ranks. But its not easy to get one merit, this sytem I think is working only to prevent you from ranking up especially if you are not a quality poster.

This is the flaw of new merit system which tendency of good post cant really be merited due to fact that people either dont notice it or just simply doesnt really have any interest to give some points at all for personal reasons. If you do have friends then expect lots will give or you are famous into this forum but if you are just nobody then expect you would get Zero. No matter how good your post is if they wont give out then its still pointless and thats i dont like on whats happening as of now.
