Of course the wallet is one of the most important things we have to realize. You can have the best coin in the world. Without a good wallet, you can't attract newbies. Look at the beginning of NXT. NXT have had much advantages but the NXT-devs weren't able to attract people without good tech-skills! We can learn from mistakes like that made by NXT, can't we?

Is there going to be an audit for the waiting list as well? I'm going through and a lot of what I see are posts from brand new / no activity accounts asking to join in. Has anyone noticed all of these cheesy introductions being posted? Hell it looks like half of the waiting list posters are broken English Chinese investors. (Or sockpuppet account with a bad attempt at masking themselves.) This guy for example, 1 activity no other posts. hi,
This is henry En from China, 32 years old. I'm very glad to get a chance to join the NEM. I like the green and fair coin.
June 2013, I knew the BTC and joined it, because i can use my money not under bank and goverment, but i needed to buy a miner machine to mine the BTC, power was wasted. And rich people bought more miner machines, they can get more BTC.
now, you guys have a new coin, more fair more green, i think i should get in this great coin.
dude, let me in. many tkx
Does this seem legit to you? Come on now...

866 likes on our facebook page in one month, i think thats not bad Not bad at all, me thinks. And 3000 people, thats a lot of people. Does anyone know if there was another coin with 3000 or more stakes at the time the genesis block was created, before NEM?? (except these new country coins that claim a reserved stake for members of the entire population, obviously)

We culled out a lot of logos already, narrowing down the list of potential candidates.

I would say there was less than 500 people.

We're forming a SWARM team devoted to the promotion of NEM. We're looking members who are willing to do commenting and upvoting/liking articles, posts, videos etc. in order to promote NEM.
All interested, please send me email to the address nempromotion@gmail.com or PM with your email address and I'll list you!For the record the SWARM team is not yet active, since there is no coin launched. We're forming the team now, so that we'll have it ready when the need comes. E Add me to the swarm. Email is in PM.

If you tell us your concerns I'm sure we'll be able to get them out of the way I was under the assumption the client wasn't going to be browser-based? Again what are your concerns ? Serving the GUI over a browser makes a lot of sense these days. It's more lightweight, easier to maintain and with all the fancy libraries in no way inferior to a native GUI. Maybe your concerns are more directed at brainwallets ? If this is the case then it will please you to hear that our client will support local wallets.

So long as I can store my coins locally on my PC and not on some database then I'm fine with it.

However this is just to interact with the native client that is running in the background. You WILL BE ABLE TO STORE your wallet LOCALLY !
