Very weird indeed....

... listen 2 the music:

- it´s going down, down down
- this is the end, my friend

Take a look at the chart and the volume:

http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/pair/pot/btc/cryptsy/3-months

Take a look at the exchanges wallets:

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pot/#!wallets

... no more question left.

I´m very sorry.

 Cry

... please make an educated guess !

If you believe in the future of a stock/commodity/whatever the TIME to be buying is when the world thinks its dead or close to it.

As for analytics, there is only so far it can slide before supply and demand cross paths, thats what is happening now.

I think its a good sign that despite the low volume the coin is sliding slowly rather than a sharp crash.
Winter is almost here so its time for me to get my scrypt hardware going again, I will likely have it mining at least 50% towards buying up potcoin, the other 50% is still TBD.

Anyone planning on attending:

https://www.cryptocannabisconference.com/

If I lived close-by, I'd go......would definitely be great for networking / collaboration on adoption-related initiatives.

Do you guys think Potcoin's transition to Posv been pulled off successfully. Or are there more algo issues that still need attention?

The transition itself has been a success. The only issue we still face is the interest earned isn't what is advertised, I won't rehash why that is but that will be solved if/when we have more coins/address/wallets supporting the network. A week or so ago we were up to 33% of the coins actively staking, we have since dropped back down to sub 25%. We need a real push of some sort to get more people to run the wallet and fund it with a few coins to get the network rolling.

Classic example of time to buy... wow it's cheap on sale, might even go lower. I think at the beginning of next year this will pop. along with a lot of die hard cryptos.

Exactly. A time honored strategy for playing the stock markets from the long POV is to watch for the covers of financial magazines to plaster a bull or bear on their cover and then do the opposite. The idea is that by the time the masses have figured out that the bull or bear market is in full effect, its almost over and about to reverse course.

Be cautious when others are greedy and greedy when others are cautious.

With the switch to posv, was/is there a provision/mechanism for some coin to be directed to Potcoin for basic overhead. I was never clear on this.

From my understanding they are sitting on a decent chunk of coins, this is where the 100k per merchant will come from for part of their promo and growth plans.

So, there are no provisions in the posv algo for coins being directed to Potcoin for sustainability?

NO there isn't. The only coin that I know of that is implementing that is DASH and last I checked its still a highly debated topic.
Keep in mind that POT is on its 2nd set of devs, IIRC. I am not sure how long potlabs has been in the picture but I am sure they mined a large chunk of the POW phase, they had the ability and the muscle to throw around to fix the POW fork a couple of months ago.

If potlabs was for it, I would be open to something like Reddcoin is implementing in their restructure. Setup a multisig wallet 3:5 or something with a couple of the keys in the hands of devs and the rest in trusted community members, not sure how that would work to let the coins stake, but its a possibility if/when funds are ever needed to be raised for sustainability. I do believe the way it should work though is if they are successful and the coin gains market share and capitalization as the value of the coins they hold grow the further they can go to keep growing the user base.

First just to cover the bases. Are you running the latest wallet? Have you checked your firewalls on your pc and or your router to make sure that upnp is enabled or the right ports are manually forwarded? If the previous has been covered you can grab a list of known nodes from https://chainz.cryptoid.info/pot/#!network and add them either manually or copy/pasta them into your potcoin.conf file in your data folder.

This is obviously near-abandoned, flying on autopilot and with no ideas whatsoever at the helm. Hence the lack of interest and dismal, amazingly so, price behavior.

So much potential. So pathetically lacking execution...
