this seems like a noob question but I searched and did not find a topic about it. can we use 1x to 1x to go from a card into ether a 1x slot or a 16x slot? I know we would have to cut a notch in the card side to fit it but I was wondering since these may be cheaper and easier to deal with being a smaller riser

thanks

apparently this answers one question- pci-e 1x can plug into a 16x mobo slot. I guess I will just talk to myself here so others searching can find the information. I do not have a 1x to 1x to try putting a card into it tho.
