Does this forum not send updates for topic replies at the current moment in time? I have it set to do so in my account settings, but I cannot see a link to subscribe to a thread. Any help appreciated.

The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

It's intentionally disabled. Each topic does have an RSS feed, though.

Okays good to know thanks. Is there any reason for it been disabled? I'll look into the RSS feeds.

Bitcoin.org was being seen as a spam source, so notifications were disabled to reduce outgoing mail.

Incidentally, receiving an email for every post to the forum has worked well for me for the last 3 months.  When a thread gets off topic, I just mute it in GMail.  Priority Inbox helps further tame the fire hose Smiley
