None yet. The nearest Bitcoin ATMs to the French are the ones at Zurich and Barcelona. Oh... and don't forget that there are three of them in the city of London, across the English Channel.

If there is a Bitcoin ATM in Paris, any info on how exchange rates are defined? Bitstamp euro rate?? Bitcoin is primarily that it is decentralized no fees paid to anyone else and can't be shut down.

They don't talk about an ATM on the website http://lamaisondubitcoin.fr/home but they talk about one here http://www.coindesk.com/europes-first-bitcoin-centre-open-france/

8 of them already there... but people don't feel the need to go to the ATMs, as so many fiat-to-Bitcoin exchanges are already operating out of the US. Also, there are more legal troubles in the US to establish a Bitcoin ATM, when compared to Canada.

3800 new bitcoins everyday, only a fraction arrive on the exchanges but Bitcoin needs to grow for the price to grow, ATMs can help tremendously

A 10% fee is extremely high. May be the EU tax rates kicked in, on top of the French taxes. Bulk buyers might better travel to some other country (such as Switzerland) to buy their coins.  Grin

The commission includes a 20% VAT, so 10% is in fact 8% net.

A physical desk service is not to be compared to an online market place, the service is not the same. It is more like Local Bitcoin, where fees are usually 10%, but in a secure facility and without the hassle of having to organize meetings with strangers.

If you buy 500euros then you buy 500euros again, the second time your fee will be 9%

You have a service : coming with cash and getting bitcoins easily and you have to compare it with the fees you pay when you use an exchange and the hassle to be verified : on bitstamp you will pay a fee of 0.5% rounded up to the nearest second decimal in bitcoins so if you buy 0.3BTC you will pay 0.01BTC fee which is 3.3% and you will lose some money during the exchange from Euro to Dollar

You will obviously save a lot of money using an exchange compared to buying at a desk service or ATM

But even 8% is much higher when compared to the fees charged by the other ATMs. For example, Quadriga CX charges just 3% on their Skyhook ATMs, which are installed in various Canadian cities.

The fee is 6-10% and it is a desk service not an ATM

3% no matter how much is exchanged? It seems very competitive, what exchange are they using?

Still no bitcoin atm in paris atm, anyone know of a project close to opening one in paris?

I have imported a RobcoinKiosk to Paris. It's an ATM that allows for two-way transactions (https://roboco.in/).
Right now it's sitting in a garage.

I m looking to sell it or rent it out. So if anyone's interested hit me up..
