This is for the gas fees, right? Damn! that's a huge amount as the author of the tweet said even if we subtract the 5M gas fees that were sent for an unknown reason 2020 is still well ahead and there's still about 4 months left in the year lol.

I assume that commissions on the ETH network will grow until the launch of phase 1. 
The nearest hard fork Berlin is trying to increase the TPS of the network, but the demand for transactions far exceeds the capabilities of the network.

Unless they scale the network significantly in the upcoming berlin hardfork we can expect the transactions to keep piling up as off now there are still 135k+ transactions that are pending on ethereum.

That seems like a more realistic date right now. Many users on crypto twitter agree that ETH 2.0 won't be arriving before 2021. If that happens that could give us a good entry point to increase the bag IMO

We can't believe anything they say lol. They keep changing dates every time we get closer to a launch date. Will see what new excuse will they come up with if they decide to delay again.

Its media guys. They create hype. Ethereum themselves, they just do the work, finesse the beads and pieces of the whole thing before unfurling it to the pubic. Another thought, they have enterprise clients keen to know precise details and whatnot about the 2.0 milestone. These clients are more demanding than average investors and want to test features on testnet whenever possible, or as soon as it leaves buterins desk.
