What motives has Poloniex for trading the old chain. They could be be in an alliance with the dao hacker. This could go very badly for Poloniex. They are providing a method of exchanging stolen ether.
maybe for legal reasons or just out of fairnes

Having Poloniex add the old chain is a bit of a disturbing move. I guess they're gearing up to follow in the footsteps of the likes of big vern and MK.

Or this is to get more info from the hacker to deliver to IRS. Maybe forced to do this to weed him out? Nevertheless.. id stay faaar away from that shit.

Many questions huh? For instance, there is another set of questions: What motives has Kraken for trading new chain? They could be in alliance with ether forkers. This could go badly for Kraken. They are providing method of exchanging stolen ether. My personal take on this is that Poloniex are acting in a more balanced and fair way giving space for both forked and classic ethers to be traded! While Kraken have sided with the forkers.

It's not technically the old chain, because someone is still using it so it has a value. Poloniex just added another 'coin' nothing else, from their old press news: 'In addition, for those interested in keeping their tokens from the losing blockchain as a keepsake, we will support a one-time withdrawal of the deprecated tokens, provided that the losing chain is still functional when you attempt a withdrawal. Specific instructions on how to access your tokens on the old chain to follow.' but they ended to add directly it.

16000 BTC volume on ETC-markets on the first day of trading and still counting. Looks like history being made today. Look at all this popcorn!

So, you're going to attack me because I don't agree with you? How far the lunacy of Ethereum forkers can go?

How far the lunacy of Ethereum forkers can go? hardly lunacy...it would be lunacy not to attack no we are attacking you because we can.....kind of like DAO attacker. if the network is not secure enough to withstand attack it doesn't deserve to be. you've been around crypto long enough that you should know that's how it works

Too bad this is BS. What's with these people? - and I know its just a couple using multiple aliases. This is one of the big problems with all of these alt-currencies. They need to be regulated like the stock markets so that idiots posting false information to affect price changes and manipulate markets can be prosecuted. I know these clowns are just out to ruin ETH but in the end they will ruin all alt-currencies. Every failure of a major currency or exchange is another nail in the coffin.

The 'attacker' showed eth network is not secure. Instead of recognizing that eth network doesn't deserve to be you tried to kill the messenger? Isn't that called hypocrisy when your words are exactly opposite of what you do?
