an interesting discussion: decentralization is very important, and why R3CEV consortium failed with bankers :

Hello everyone,

I am brand new to crypto currencies and to Ethereum. Out of all of them out there, Ethereum seems as the coin with most potential. Is there a working ETH faucet that can let me test the coin and the wallet?

If not, would someone be kind enough to share a very small amount, 0.2 or 0.3 ETH at most so I can play a bit with it.

Thanks a lot guys and good luck in developing this awesome coin.

The address is in the signature!

Yeah ethf is very centralized and all the hype is mostly companies running private eth which leaves 100,000,000 ethf with no demand

Uh...no, Ethereum is definitely PoW, and has been since launch.

Latest blogs from Vitalik put Casper (PoS implementation) ~1 year away.

Ya, I saw this a little while back.  Not sure what is really new or innovative with that coin though.  The chain is based on Ethereum's code, it's using the difficulty adjustment algo from zCash... is the only thing new their emission rate for block rewards?

So, where's the steroids you mentioned?  I'm afraid it's just gonna be another pump-n-dump :/

Nope

The Casper-POS is very special, it solves the crypto-currency problem of scalability of transaction numbers.

Consequently, it's going to have a good market effect, when implemented.

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about.  You think because he doesn't post in bitcointalk he isn't working in the project anymore? A simple google search will give you tons of recent activity lol. ugh... if you're an example of ubq community, I've just lost interest.  Cool

hes just a stupid troll with his low quality baits. probably some paid ubiq scammer with his fake trades. I lost my interest in ubiq when I saw this guy making posts about his "100% legit" 32K satoshi ubiq buys... And ofc faking this style.. so blatant.

How long will the left 1.5 mil ETHEREUM be mined? One month? Is it confirmed that we will go to pure POS when we have 90 mil coins?

Yes, something like that and all be completed with a fork, it may take even less time than one month...

It is good to hear the hardfork and have a PoS scheme after PoW done. PoW is not the future, you know if PoW continues, ETH will be dumped hard by those poor miners, if traders and whales do not pump ETH, those poor miners were not so wealthy like today they are.
