Currently Ethereum has too many competitors. EOS is a strong competitor recently.

Just...LOL

I am bullish on Ethereum because it has become the stepping stone for other platforms that require a blockchain-hedged currency

Currently Ethereum has too many competitors. EOS is a strong competitor recently. I don't know whether EOS will succeed. but these Ethereum competitors have caused a lot of resistance to Ethereum.Investments in Ethereum are diverted.

...wait wat? EOS is a strong competitor? LOL

Go rethink life.

I think I can agree with you. The coin has already proven itself and can be considered to be successful. An entire ecosystem has already been created and developed around eth. And in addition, a very large community. Therefore, you can be calm for coins.

ETH is now in a state of impasse. ETH is now in the process of linking bitcoin, without its own independent market. ETH should still have room for a fall. It is possible to bottom out the low price in March.

Yo I agree. Anything is possible and I also fear we might see the $300 range again. Time for some significant updates.

Ethereum-showed the world that there is no need to trust strangers, you can simplify your work with intelligent contracts
It's a real decentralization, they are for long term and it's like we are building a new world and in the beginning it would be hard.
Believe me, soon when people realize the value of blockchain, they'll certainly invest their money and the adoption would easily grow.
Institutional will come in soon when there will be proper regulation on the crypto.

Yes i hope we can see ethereum's price in the range $300 again due to it is cheap price to us for buy it and we know ethereum's price will be rising again, even it won't be many projects on ethereum's platform, it can be used for payment options in ICOs. Ethereum has many benefits of usage except just for to be traded on the exchangers.

Instead of lisk why don't you hold the EOS because many people are suggesting EOS will become another coin that will gain popularity in the industry. Even with their block chain there is no compete for EOS yet.

Ummmmm, They said that EOS has been gained a huge popularity becomes a centralized buggy blockchain. You are speaking a crap about EOS.

So many vulnerabilities of EOS just the matter of time until next vulnerabilities will be discovered. No one interested to hold the buggy blockchain token with centralized system that can be used to block anyone's account.

The EOS is controlled by 21 super nodes. It is also quite vulnerable.

That is the reason why the price of ETH is still above $400.

Any thoughts on Striim? As a scaling solution it seems to be better than Plasma and Raiden.

Anything can possible in the crypto market because the chances of increase price are also huge and chances of decreasing price is also huge. We have to face the risk, without risking we cannot able move forward.

Care to elaborate? I never heard of Striim, never mentioned on this pages or on twitter or in Slack's channels, it's a second layer solution, a sidechain or an ethereum on chain solution?

Thanks for the excellent response, Vitalik!  Since you're a lot smarter than me, I'll just take your word for it that jpeg files will be too expensive to store on ethereum, unless a bitcoin dev comes in here and disputes it.  So that takes care of the child porn concern.  Could a script could still act as a thumbnail browser and download the images from a Tor server if a cryptocurrency payment was made to an address?

I am also not quite sold on the need for ethereum.  It seems to me that the blockchain.info trust model or the "query a bunch of servers" model for low value transactions works just fine for bitcoin.  Are there any instances where this has been abused yet?  For high value transactions, getting a blockchain copy isn't that big a deal, and will continue to be less and less of a problem as Moore's Law for storage and bandwidth continues to outpace blockchain growth (which is continuing to grow linearly despite massively increased usage).

It is an off chain solution which to start with will be used by hubii's main business (including their hubii core dex) but what makes it interesting id that it is aimed at being a commercial 2 layer solution pretty much like what Vitalik Buterin often discusses as a desirable use of ethereum in this initial stage.
Some info on it https://medium.com/@jacobotoll/commercially-focused-ethereum-scaling-white-paper-release-opening-github-and-deployment-to-315f9047e98f
Github and whitepaper
https://github.com/hubiinetwork/striim-contracts
On the whitepaper they make that comparison vs plasma and raiden.

Even bulls need to be realistic  Cheesy

$5000 could be achieved when there are vast usage of the ETH system.
