Developers showed maturity and went for stable and secure way instead of throwing buggy code over people. There is nothing bad in this delay because long term goals and for everyone's safety this was necessary and right step. Seeing such responsible attitude I have come more closer to Ethereum and optimistic about its role in future.

True infact this gives me more relief as code gonna be stronger this time.. and with more functionality ... lets wait .. wait is sometimes good why rush .. This waiting gives me more relief as ETH gonna come out with stronger coding this time.. |

Normally there's a fat drop after a fork. However, being a little optimistic has never hurt anybody.
There is still was not fork. They delayed again Constantinople fork, because of some mistakes in code and at this time form delayes for unknown time. Bakkt also delayed tillthis summer probably . So may be Ethereum team just want to launch fork together with Bakkt launch, because 1st delayed was after Bakkt announced delay from December to january too... |

Is there any estimation how long will be the upgrade delayed?
According to CoinDesk: A new fork date will be decided during another ethereum dev call on Friday. Fork = upgrade |

You should read the post that created by a guy above me and it looks like you are missing something. The exact date about hardfork will have decided in the next meeting. ETA on friday. Bakkt has raised a lot of money and it gets another delay due to the shutdown in US https://www.investinblockchain.com/bakkt-raises-182-5-million-launch-delayed-again/I have seen this morning on my television if the white house serves junk food caused by that problem. |

It's not a bad option. But I don't think buying and holding ETH now is risky at any reason. Just buy and hodl different coins then ... Maybe ... Maybe not buying now ends in regretting when you need some for a staking node.  Who knows?!  |

It is good decision to delay this upgrade and fix the all bugs before make it implement on this network. Even this is little disappointed as everyone was ready to see what will happen after this upgrade anyway the tea will bring more better solution.

It is not wise to put all eggs in one basket and will never be. That;s why diversification is best with balanced ration for short to long term perspective in mind. We are still in early stage of cryptocurrencies revolution so it is going through experiments constantly. They found out vulnerability in code and postponed nothing bad in this.

This would make the current situation more complicated while some miners are still putting hash powers on that chain. Thanks for sharing this useful info with us so that it would be nice to be careful before moving our tokens there. |
