It's working and the miners can only mine no more than 2.5 ethereum from each block and that was getting 30% decrease from the previous block reward. that's a good news at all.
The hardfork goes very smooth and that's good.
Early confirmations that all things made well and smooth. Now, it is the waiting time to see Ethereum performance on exchanges. How the crypto enthusiasts and investors repsonse with such a very successful upgrade made by ETH team. In case it will rise, I think it should be because of another reason. We already see the result of that hard fork and that is bringing the price to where we are now. The market is seen based on the hype and no more hype now, but those who understands the potential effect of the upgrade should see the price as cheap now. |

They've copied MyEtherWallet's page and since this is Ethereum's fork, they're obviously hoping for people to visit their MEW and import their private key there! DON'T DO THAT!What a hopeless scam, they didn't even try hard. I hope their thread gets removed ASAP. |

So was the hard fork Constantinople successful? There is no new announcement about it but we already passed the designated block.
You can't have successful hard fork with 2TB blockchain. |

Why you didn't buy when eth was around $100? And now that it's increasing you're thinking to buy some and don't you think you're being FOMO? I don't want to speculate the price as so nothing is certain but if you think this will be a good entry for you then go. |

I don't want to speculate the price as so nothing is certain but if you think this will be a good entry for you then go.
It is basic instinct of investors. I meant, investors tend to wait for deeper price even when the price drops deeply and hit bottoms, they often hesitate to invest immediately, and expect cheaper price. Then, they are wrong certainly. After that, when price rises, they expect, expect it falls again. Then, a long period later, when price rockets to peaks, they lose patience and decide buying immediatly Very well done investments, in most cases.  |

I don't want to speculate the price as so nothing is certain but if you think this will be a good entry for you then go. 30% increase in a cryptocoin is nothing! It's not too late. Even more traditional investments like stocks... S&P500 had risen by 77% in the period between 2012-2016, if taking only the technical analysis in consideration, it'd be most logical that this would be the top. With 2016 having a nice 10% rise after flat year (2015) many would believe that this was a FOMO push in a 7 year bull market. But in 2017 the markets (S&P500) rose by 20% and 2018 gave another 10% before taking it all back in the last months... which thankfully is now almost completely recovered. My point is... calling an investment to Ethereum or any other coin as "too late" or "FOMO" because it had 1 good week is too rushed!  |

I am an Ethereum miner on a small scale 290Mh. Before the fork I was getting .022 Eth/day, after the fork I am still getting .022 Eth/day. I see no impact from the reward reduction. I am guessing that the new protocol is easier to mine. At .08/kilowatt I see no reason to discontinue mining as it remains profitable Any thoughts?  ? |

I think we will see that Ethereum can reach 1k again. May be a new ath.
This year it will be for ethereum probably we might see break over ATH . That's great, will be reaching at least $2,000 is already good, wondering what would be the price of BTC that time as it's possible they will go rise together. Times like this is what the crowd likes, they are more optimistic now and I've seen a lot of bullish news including experts prediction. Once we cross the $1 trillion mark, maybe everything is possible. It could go straight into several trillions and BTC and ETH would benefit a lot from that. This is not an easy task to achieve this milestone it need contribution from institutional investors and more wider adoption from all around the world than it could keep this in the great direction to reach there. No doubt momentum of cryptocurrencies is getting more demand. Maybe also some legislation that is in favor of cryptocurrencies especially long term. For now many potential investors are hesitant because of that, too. |
