Hot news   - SEC Chairman Clayton just confirmed Commission staff analysis that found Ethereum (and cryptos like it) are not securities.

However, until now it was never fully clear whether Hinman was communicating official SEC policy or his own personal views. Previously, Clayton had said that he did not consider Bitcoin a security, but he had declined to address other assets, including Ethereum.
The distinction is crucial. A securities classification would have likely seen Ethereum booted from US cryptocurrency exchanges, and the SEC previously warned that exchanges that list illegal securities could themselves faces repercussions.
This increased regulatory clarity could further help spur institutional adoption, as questions surrounding cryptocurrencies’ legal status has been identified as one of several roadblocks to convincing more institutions to become active in the crypto space.

Don't know if there's any truth to the article but this made me really happy because if Samsung pay really integrate crypto to the payment platform we would be one step closer to the worldwide adaptation.

But in my opinion they should also support BTC wallet in their latest phone but bad luck of BTC users.

Looks like there might be good news for GPU miners after all.

The devs might or might not include the ProgPOW algo change in the instabul fork which is the next scheduled fork.

Currently it's being audited to see how effective it will be against ASICs and there is discussion whether or not this is necessary since the ASICs might not be such a big threat.

We will know more on the next dev conf meeting.

I am sure they will, if that is good for the business, I don't see a reason why they would not adopt.
This two big companies are competing, so most possibly they will just copy from each other and they know that crypto is a progressive industry and we are getting bigger with increase adoption.

Once again everything is making different interpretation of whatever SEC's chairman said whether Ethereum is security or not. I don't understand what keeps them to release clear statement instead of releasing confusing ones. Whether ETH is security or not it is keep on going ahead and with its current status and situation it isn't important anymore in my opinion. We expect clear definitions of things from officials looks like they don't know well what they talk.

It's already unprofitable to mine ETH in comparison to many other coins, a gamer who would like to start using Ethereum but is afraid to get involved with exchanges will just stay away.
If the mining rewards return to GPU miners then people will be able to start by only mining their first ETH.

Maybe you don't have good memory what the price was BTC during ATH is was $20k and you are dreaming about $5k so it will be hard for ETH. What are you predicting it don't make any sense at the moment there are so many competitors in market and ETH is not only in the market.
