"Ethereum Proof of Stake Testnet Launches

The Beacon replaces that with 32eth accounts voting for effectively the same thing so rather than proving you’re a real person and thus non sybilable by solving useless maths equations, you do so by showing 32eth.

The Proof of Work (PoW) chain will continue operating for some time in parallel with the PoS chain. PoW, however, will be less important to security so block rewards will reduce considerably to 0.6 eth per block.

The stakers in addition will get ◊0.22, so eth will effectively have a halving+ this Autumn if progress continues at the same pace or faster."

“People are  trying  to be SEC compliant,” he says. “But, for one, nobody knows what SEC compliant means, and two, regulators have not held up—from my perspective—their end of the bargain.” Corva says the SEC has so far failed to deliver on its promises of clear, “plain English” guidance for the crypto industry, and suspects it will likely never come.

The SEC, over a year and a half ago, said ‘come to us seeking no-action relief. Come to us for approved offerings.’ We haven’t seen a single no-action letter published,” he says

The tour will start March 26 in San Francisco and continue across the US.

 - On March 6, the US Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) Strategic Hub for Innovation and Financial Technology (FinHub) announced it will be traveling the country and conducting face-to-face meetings with FinTech startups and entrepreneurs.
According to the SEC's announcement, the first meetings will be held in the SEC offices in San Francisco. After this, the FinHub staff will travel nationwide to facilitate "local peer-to-peer" meetings in which members of the FinTech community will have the chance to ask SEC representatives questions about regulations, projects, or any concerns. Participants can also discuss wide-ranging issues or even provide the SEC with a presentation about the projects they are working on.
The meetings will begin on March 26, 2019.

 - The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that its staff will host a public forum focusing on distributed ledger technology (DLT) and digital assets on May 31, 2019.

The US SEC Wants to Hire a ‘Crypto Specialist’ Legal Advisor

According to a job posting on USAJobs, an official government jobs portal, the SEC’s Division of Trading and Markets plans to hire the new legal expert in order to help develop a “comprehensive plan” to address crypto and digital asset securities.

The job posting appears a notable one, marking a likely further step by the SEC toward clearing regulatory gray areas for the cryptocurrency industry in the U.S.

Even same practice is going on with ETH too without any reason so many people shorting this for long bear market. I think so they will lose the chance to catch the rally which could be bigger than previous.

ConsenSys Picks Latest 10 Blockchain Startups for Accelerator Program

Quote
All 10 startups will benefit from the accelerator program, which includes meetings and lectures from “prominent” entrepreneurs, ethereum developers and venture capitalists, as well as access to ConsenSys’ network, according to the firm. The incubation efforts will take place in Berlin and San Francisco.

ConsenSys added that the German Bundestag, Germany’s parliament, is holding a session today featuring talks on the different areas covered by ConsenSys, including early-stage startup incubation, legal, and marketing. It will also feature introductions from each of the teams in the accelerator.

German member of parliament Alexander Kulitz said in the announcement:

“The best support a government can give to innovative entrepreneurs and startups is to avoid unnecessary and unneeded regulations. It is not up to the politicians to decide if a product or an entrepreneurial idea should be successful or not. The decision has to be made by the demand of the people on free economic markets. Politicians are only to guarantee a level playing field on free and fair markets.”

When will Pos be implemented at mainnet level? Is there a set timeline or is it a work in progress. How would that impact the price of ETH when fully implemented?

This year it will be by 2000 usd eoy or starting 2020... when it does you could stake eth and get reward it will be more valuable and i guess eth can easily cross 1500 usd in no time. Right now btc had 20% rally and 20% rally is meant to be into bull run we are officially into bull market now

Seems in this year we have a lot of new blockchains which have more TPS and more scalable... And some old blockchain are dying now. Like Neo for example - people just moving away from their blockchain. And some new for example Tomochain have much more TPS and near zero fees.
So if ETH will not upgrade asap their TPS - they may follow for NEO

To be honest I don't think Tomochain could be comparable with ETH because this project is still more strong as compare with this project although Vitalik feel fear from Tron. Community support and good tech always keep any project in big demand so that I hope they will take action timely and will provide more better solution.

"Vitalik feel fear from Tron"... LOL, are you sure? Can you give one single reference for your statement that why do you think that way? Because Justin got more followers at Twitter than Vitalik?  Grin

Close to Half of Justin Sun’s New Followers Revealed as Fake

‘Tron is no operating system,’ says Cornell Professor; Ethereum [ETH]’s Vitalik Buterin contributes

 Tongue

Wow, even the Twitter followers are fake!

Ethereum is far more developed if compared with coins like TRX and EOS, they don't come anywhere near to Ethereum. Simple!

Quote
This statement is particularly contrasting to Justin Sun, CEO of TRON Foundation, saying that TRON performs way better than Bitcoin and Ethereum in terms of decentralization.

It would be nice to see ETH and XRP going up higher in percentage proportion to the rates that Bitcoin goes going up so they close the gap slightly.

I hope the general market mood improves soon.
