Created in 2015, the Ethereum network has undergone a major evolution since then. In search of constant improvements in the functioning of the blockchain, developers have created the most varied scalability solutions. Among them are rollups, praised by the network's creator, Vitalik Buterin, who believes that ZK Rollups can outperform their predecessor, Optimistic Rollups.

One of the main goals of a rollup is to reduce network transaction fees. In this sense, Buterin expects that to carry out a transaction on Ethereum, each user will spend between US$0.02 and US$0.05 with ZK Rollups, a value far below what is currently happening.

“So today, rollups like operating fees are usually $0.10 and sometimes $0.10 and in the future with rollups with all communications like the operating costs over the which rollups can drop to $0.05, or maybe even $0.02. Much cheaper, much more affordable, and a complete game-changer,” said the creator of the world’s second-largest blockchain during an event in Seoul, South Korea.

this is what i am waiting for where i have so many tokens in my ETH wallet but can't be transacted because the fee is very expensive if it is transacted at this time, hope ETH can be better with cheaper and faster transaction fees

There's something I don't get about the difficulty bomb. does it start increasing difficulty for a period of time until that impossible point, or it's just a moment where it goes up? I think it must be increasing for a period depending on the mining rate, but I haven't found info. I mean, if the merge is going to be at x time, what stops miners to switch off at x-1 and say: ¡Hasta la vista baby!

The block time is regulated by the algorithm. With a large arrival of miners or vice versa, their departure, the block time will change, but then it will stabilize.
miners won't leave before the merge starts because it's a loss of profit.

I see gas costs are really cheap at the moment and haven't seen them touch gas costs for a long time, it's really close to 5 gwei even now it's only under 10 gwei, maybe people don't do a lot of transactions on the ETH network now so gas costs are very cheap, today it's very cheap happy to move lots of ETH tokens from old wallet to my new wallet

Tornado cash is a parasite coin that uses the Public Ethereum blockchain to encrypt proof of value messages into the Blockchain. The tech is called zk-SNARKs and are a novel form of zero-knowledge cryptography which allow for private transactions.
