there's no mention of "x" ...anyways for me it's about lesser rigs and more hashes. Also, Sapphire 280x might be more cost effective, good luck on finding them. XFX ones are there on FK, which are never recommended and they won't give you the cost-effectiveness since it has lower hashes

A hero member! lol thanks for update nice suggestion Oh my bad! I actually thought your account might be hacked. Oh and btw A Sempron 145 would suit nicely instead of Athlon. And for PSU, always go for Seasonic. They deliver the best products in prices lesser than Corsair or Cooler Master. MSI R9 280x are very much available locally, at least last when I inquired in Kolkata last week. XFX should definitely be avoided, but if nothing else is available they'd be better than R9 290s with worse Kh/Rs ratio. People do mine with 16X 7950 XFX branded.

XFX ones are there on FK, which are never recommended and they won't give you the cost-effectiveness since it has lower hashes XFX cards have reliability problems, not lower hash per se. Those things are chips of silicone, the quality varies from card to card, I haven't ever heard about XFX ones giving lower hashes in general. Mind pointing to any link that you've read on this?

I mining using Msi r9 280x and asus r9 280x dc2t. Both seem to have reasonable performance around 700kh/s without any voltage modifications or bios changes.
Buy Amd sempron 145 processor Asrock extreme 3 or asrock extreme 4 motherboard ( based on number of gpus required ) power supply - seasonic s12 or m12 series ( 300 watts per gpu + 250 watts for other components + 100w to be in safe limits and not use 100% load ) ram- 4gb corsair vegeance ( doesnt matter but peace of mind with corsair )

PTseller im using saphire & MSI 280x's for scryptcoins. Getting 730mhs out of each sapphire. 700 out of the MSI. Config: setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 95 Sapphire cgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://..... -u USERNAME -p PASSWORD --intensity 13 --gpu-threads 1 --thread-concurrency 10240 --auto-fan --temp-target 80 --gpu-powertune 18 --gpu-engine 1040 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-vddc 1.00 MSI gpu-engine 1050.
As far as availability, both are very easily available in nehru place. I got one this past friday.
