According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Top 5 LEAF deposit flooders got their accounts disabled now.

We will not unlock these accounts before a period of 72 hours expires, so people learn.

List of users that are affected (num of deposits | username)

239 | ctioS3
251 | wangao81
305 | xujiangbin
305 | Phoenix
539 | james.macky11

If you're flooding our system with many small deposits from a pool, you have been warned.

BTW: LEAF/BTC is now the default market on CoinMarket.io Smiley

What constitutes "many small deposits?"  Just want to make sure I'm ok as I make a couple of deposits per hour.  Thanks.

I think the point is to prevent folks from depositing DIRECTLY from pools into their Coinmarket wallets.  How difficult is it to withdraw to a local wallet first?  Hint:  not difficult.

I sent a 71 LEAF deposit accidentally 2 days ago and it's been pending ever since.  I'm wondering if that deposit was caught in a 72 hour hold or something.  Other deposits go through just fine though.

Coinmarket.io is by far my favorite exchange so I would like to see some thresholds put in place to keep it running well and deter abusers.  I really think they could give Cryptsy a run for their money.

Regardless of what side of the green argument people fall on, the fact is there is an established economy and taxation system all based around carbon emissions.  Whether it is true or not that humans are responsible for this warming is completely and utterly irrelevant - this carbon emissions based economy/market is now too big and ingrained within governments taxation systems around the world that it will never be allowed to fail.

So, whether we are warming the planet or not, it is a wagon to which many businesses have attached themselves and done quite well out of it.  So why not do something along the lines of "being green" with the coin.  It doesnt matter whether any individual out there believes in global warming or not, all that matters is that there are enough people out there that do believe in it to make it a viable market to pitch the coin to.

it's obviously gonna move on to other exchanges with more volume eventually.. who knows when though. too much of a standstill @ coinmarket.io atm.. putting all my coins back into wallet til the traffic clears a bit. dummies are selling very low. free market people.. don't you wanna make more than just a few dolla bills? you could take your lady AND pay for electricity  Grin

the sad thing about cryptocoins is that while i am trying to come out with ideas how to promote this coin and rise its value, a big whale (or more) is eating millions of coins, then dumps them and earns 100-1000 times much more than me. just my 2 leafies.

Yes ... coins are 99.99% pump and dump for them (except the ones with protection like gravity well), and those guys do not care for any coin except BTC.

as we have seen with other coins... cryptsy takes quite long to implement a coin. also, the community has decided that they dont want it on yet.

if cryptsy listens to the community of leaf.. then they shouldnt implement this too soon.
