Hey LEAFCOIN thread, looking for a place to mine LEAF? Join us at Chunky Pool!

You a at wrong chain. Congratulations. Smiley

No shit. We updated the daemon 3 days ago. Not very responsible of the devs to release 3 times in a week, moving the fork closer and closer. I was told it would be a week before the fork hit anyway.

It changes diff very quick in the both ways. Too quick for multipools.

I have mine several block in my CoinMine.PW when difficulty was 18-25 and now it's 150. I have stop mining it. What to do next?
If difficulty becomes 20 again I'll mine it next block and stop mining next block if difficulty becomes low... I don't understand Idea.

I have updated several days ago to protocol version 80006 and don't wait what it will be updated several days later to 80007.
Usually it takes minimum month...
Now you have 3 block chains and almost all pool at wrong chain. Nice.
This mean "The Devs seemed to have done everything possible to inform Exchanges/Pools/Miners"...

May be some one return to me my lost 428 769 LEAFs to fQEBsNnzqwB1UYwAinxPDsUgGxiMqe3ELp ?..

You can add CoinMine.PW to the Pools list. It have right block chain now
It's not only multipool. You can mine only LEAFs if you want.

ok the fault here is yours.. as there was basically a drive to upgrade to the 3rd wallet.. i also think all the pools had already upgraded their wallet to the right chain as they and the exchanges were the first to be notified. Can you tell me what is your hashrate?

Sure it's my fault and I'll pay for this from my pocket to users.

ppl we wont refund anything.

thats that.

further.... the coin would be dead ( and you would have nothing at all ) if we didnt update this.

we invested more then 10! million coins to get

a) updates through
b) keep multipools off ( 2 million a day to send only 5ghash )
c) made upgrade rewards

not to speak of the time we invested.

if we didnt all do this... the coin would most certain be completely dead since middlecoin would have pointed 22ghash at us.. pushing diff to 200-300 and then leave ( then you would be in here that you cannot send transactions and coin is unusable ).

we did as asked by the community.

we warned that this could happen, multiple times.

anyways... the coin is now back alive again and is usable.

no more blocklengths of 15 minutes or more.

so if you think you lost something, we lost a whole lot more ( even own money )

it might increase in value soon when we have finished the projects.

there will be no more updates for a while.

also the multipools are still on this.

you should have monitored the news.... you should have been deeper involved... this is cryptoworld

there were more then 10 pages on this subject in this thread

Now in regards to upgrade and why its important.. please read the thread as there have been multiple posts on the subject..
Basically... the difficulty changes every block and within 3-5 blocks matches the current network so even if multipool joins in they will only find about 3-4 blocks before difficulty is to high for them to find it profitable. At that point they will leave the network and instead of us taking 2 days to resolve 240 blocks at a difficulty of 150 or so the network will automatically reduce difficulty every block to match the current network.. so that means if you are waiting for a difficulty of 25-30 its unlikely to happen as we have pretty much established a stable hash rate of around 3 gh/s which means difficulty dropping below 40 is unlikely.

The main question here. How long peples will mine it with difficulty 100 - 200 if it's not profitable... Will see.

I'm not asking for refunds. I can repay all my users for like $30. Who gives a shit.

What I am worried about is reputation damage. It looks like we're the irresponsible pool owners, when in fact it was Leafcoin's shitty decisions that caused this mess. You released a coin without doing any research, then your coin goes to difficulty purgatory, and instead of giving pools ample time to update and just waiting it out (RonPaulCoin did this the right way), you got impatient and changed the fork block height THREE times!

I updated our daemon twice, and still got shafted here. Terribly irresponsible moves by the Leafcoin dev team. Not sure if I even want to open the pool back up.

keep it down then.

listen... the coin was dead... again... you wouldnt have made anything.

if middlecoin would have pushed hashrate to 22-25ghash and beyond.

diff would become 200-300. and all your miners would have left.

so your pool would have become an empty pool as well.

we had this set at block 21203. i wonder if you even would have updated by then.

we announced this all through twitter, facebook, irc channels, emails, did huge giveaways, wrote updatecheck bots

Has the LEAF blockchain forked? I have a miner in my pool whose wallet is not showing his deposit. His wallet is synced up, and the blockexplorer @ cryptexplorer.com shows the correct deposit. I can't think of anything else besides a forked blockchain.
Yes, because of update, since block 18818. This is correct chain: http://explorer.leafco.in/chain/LeafCoin
http://cryptexplorer.com/chain/LeafCoin was not yet updated and is on wrong fork.

Hmm, looks like my pool is on the wrong fork. We just updated on Feb 7th! What the fuck!

In order to correct this issue, do I need to redownload the blockchain once I have updated?

Yes, you will need to redownload and sync...

DUDE I updated on Feb 7th. You told me it would be 7 to 10 days before the fork hit. I didn't even think to check back because I had at least a week. This is your fucking fault. At least own it.

7-10 days would have become 20-30 days ( block 21203 ). because everyone left.

it is very hard to exactly pinpoint when the fork would happen... we did expect multipool to hit us with 22ghash... and after the hit... they stayed longer and we remained with quite some ghash
up until 18818, making those blocks much faster ( 1-3 minute instead of 15 ). We expected the block to arrive on tuesday/wednesday. That would be 4-5 days.

we cannot do more then notify everyone with a update message ( sat February 08, 2014, 01:20:18 PM GMT you got it, monday 12pm +/- the fork happened  ).

roast you cant say that he dint try to notify you...

The coin was getting massively screwed...with difficulty purgatory... network hashrate dropped to 200mh and that was basically the community trying to get over the hump...

Also.. a large part of the reason why you dint get the extra time was because... the majority dint switch on to LEAF when difficulty retargeted after the last 150 level... the pool hash rate went down and we only mined with a 2gh hash rate..

a large part of the calculation was based on the idea that when multipools switched to us immediately at difficulty drop which they did the previous times.. the last 90 blocks were expected to take at least 15-20 minutes to find but instead of buying you the minimum of 23 hours..

what happened is i believe a majority were stuck on doge mining as price went from 130 to 200 and so by the time difficulty retargeted the second time.. it only need 1 minute to find a block....

Niceman:
thats the idea behind a KGW... we likely wont see a "sustained" 150 difficulty level unless its at a profitable price.. otherwise at most you can expect that difficulty to last only 3-5 blocks.. before it corrects itself.. but we arent stuck when the multipools leave... anymore.. By the way.. ur pool is coinmine.pw right?

This is your fault. Dev working hard ro make this coin better, you are pool owner - then make YOUR job and READ thread of coins that you host. READ messages, that dev sent you. STOP complaining, you are making money and this is YOUR JOB. I see many
responsible pool owner in this thread, they made JOB and updated in TIME, so stop shifting responsibility to dev, cause this is YOUR FAULT.

nice attitude considering this is your fault
This is your fault. Dev working hard ro make this coin better, you are pool owner - then make YOUR job and READ thread of coins that you host. READ messages, that dev sent you. STOP complaining, you are making money and this is YOUR JOB.

I'm not going to get in a fight with all of you. The point is, the guy told me it would be 7-10 days. Then he completely reneged on that.

I keep up with my pools. I can't possibly read every message in all threads of all coins that I host.

You don't need to read all messages, just read OP. It was updated in time.

Some donate will be good))))))
