I think these all options are good but the main thing is how to do if you do this with proper understanding and good knowledge and with good training then you have a good skill of trading and you are a good market understanding trader and have the skill to choose the best option in according to the market position because the market situation is the main thing to understand other things comes next.
According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

How to become long-term trader? I can't hold the coin when its price plunge
If you can’t hold it mean you have not patience and for being a trader you must have patience only then you can earn good amount of profit, I think now a day price is not really high so buy and hold not the perfect time to sell mate, holding with patience can give you more profit specially in trading you will have to hold for long term trading, because I have notice you have very small patience so don’t go for day trading.

Trading is good enough for me, but i prefer to hold because it is much more profitable in a mid - long term, if you know what i mean.. Holding can give you much more profits than just trying to make a few percent of profit per pair.

Basically in gaining more profit we should aim for better holding terms, and the plans should be long term as most of people did. Lets grab the opportunity while price still at lower value, then you'll be surprised when it reached higher price so you could take the profit you ever dreamed of. Hold after the buying period and remain on your principles.

Trading or HODL

The goal of most investors generally is to buy low and sell high. This can result in two quite different approaches to equity investing.

One approach is described as "trading." Trading involves following the short-term price fluctuations of different stocks closely and then trying to buy low and sell high. Traders usually decide ahead of time the percentage increase they're looking for before you sell (or decrease before they buy).

While trading has tremendous potential for immediate rewards, it also involves a fair share of risk because a stock may not recover from a downswing within the time frame you'd like—and may in fact drop further in price. In addition, frequent trading can be expensive, since every time you buy and sell, you may pay broker's fees for the transaction.

Be aware that trading should not be confused with "day trading," which is the rapid buying and selling of stock to capitalize on small price changes. Day trading can be extremely risky, especially if you attempt to day trade using borrowed money. Individual investors frequently lose money by trying to use this approach.

A very different investing strategy—called buy-and-hold—involves keeping an investment over an extended period, anticipating that the price will rise over time. While buy-and-hold reduces the money you pay in transaction fees and short-term capital gains taxes, it requires patience and careful decision-making. As a buy-and-hold investor, you generally choose tokens based on a company's long-term business prospects. Increases in the coin price over years tend to be based less on the volatile nature of the market's changing demands and more on what's known as the company's fundamentals, such as its earnings and sales, the expertise and vision of its management.

Such a strategy can be super profitable. Here are some examples:
  Spectrecoin  +48228%
  Neo  +90450%
  Ethereum  +95390%
  IOTA  +105505%
  NXT  +391776%
(data for the end of 2017)

And how do you think, share your views on the pros and cons of trading and long-term hold in the comments.
I believe that abnj should not invest long term at this point, you can see that bitcoin prices are continuously decreasing in recent days. According to my analysis, bitcoin prices will be able to continue to fall deeply in the long run because prices Bitcoin is in a bear market for long term. Therefore, long-term investment at this time will be very high risk.

of course more profitable trading because with trading quickly you can get very much different profits by buying after it hold back, it seems it can be uncertain what you hold can provide benefits.

Yes, long-term investment gives you a better chance of not losing money than intraday trading.

But not all investment can give you a good profit because sometimes the coin that you invest is not good and posiboe that you lose your money if the price get dump, so my point is it's depend the person what knowledge they have if they good in trading or in investment. Anyways, for me i want to choose buy and hodl my token 'cause i have no skill and knowledge to trade my coin that's why holding is my choice and i choose the top 10 coin that can give me a profit.

i am team hold i always buy coins and saved for long term i like it because it is safer and more profitable when compared to the daily trading this is very risky, i just prefer it for long term

sometimes with a concept like that always holding the coin for long term it is very unfortunate, because basically if we take the gap there sometimes more profitable.

Yes trading is profitable but of course it will depend on how you play the market and sometimes you will still incur actual loss, while in investing you can only have paper loss. I actually do both because I still want to become active in cryptomarket while I'm holding great coins like bitcoin. If you can really do both much better since you can have active profit and security in the future.

Hence, I believe the active user will get the best returns as in many cases people believe that holding means buying a perfect coin and leaving it for few months but you should also note the development of the coin as if company is stuck with some issues it might take more time than usual for your money to grow. There is no doubt that trading involves more risk than buying and holding a coin but if you want to taste more profit you need to take more risk, never the less both trading and holding involves risk. So, it depends upon user to user how much they can take risk in a particular field.

My strategy is to use 60% to hold altcoins (trx, ada) and 40% to trading bitcoin or others altcoin. That way I can add ammunition for holding coins. Nb: If I don't failed in trading.

I would say that trading is more profitable vs. Buy and hold because you can get easily more profits in trading if your technical analysis is good while buy and hold helps you better profit ahead but it takes a months of year the difference.

Nope I think trading can also be profitable more than holding back. if you already have much experience about bitcoin and cryptocurrency markets. maybe you can get daily profit from daytrading and surely it will benefit you more? holding for a certain time will only give you one profit only but trading can give profit many times

well, I also think like that. most likely more trading has the potential to make us earn substantial profits. well, just for now, I prefer to buy, and hold back. although the mountains are not so large, I think that it is a good option to reduce risk.

I think there is no difference between buying and holding until when the value appreciate before you sell and trading whether for short period of time or long period of time as all is trading. And The issue of investors buying low and low with the intention of sell high is the only thing rational thing that every investors has to do.

For people who do not understand more about trading in that way they can do trading. they can benefit by holding the token or coin they want.

Just hold it and leave it. Put a time period as your target. For example 1 year. Try not to look up the price for such period of time.
That's really not the best advice. Although, you're correct about the holding strategy but he/she still have to check the best sometime incase any better chance arise and I don't support setting a timespan either due to the volatility of crypto currency.

Well all are profitable as long as you know how it works.
Trading, Buying and Holding have risks that you may either lose it all of gain huge.
In my own opinion, people engage in Trading are more prone to loses than buying and holding.
Significantly, Trading needs a lot of work and analysis for you to engage in it continuously. The fact that the market is extremely volatile, there is much higher possibility that you can lose more than gaining if you don't have the knowledge, proper decision making.
While Holding and Buying are inseparable.
I say trading can give you money in short or in long term but with cautious. Buying is a bit seasonal and holding is everyone's' favorite but still holding is more effective in long term basis.

Yes, long-term investment gives you a better chance of not losing money than intraday trading.
It takes the right skills and timing to win by a day trading, of course, people do it to earn profit but losses sometimes are unavoidable given by the fact that the market is unstable and unpredictable expect to lose and win at the same time, while for holding the only major risk is that when you are holding worthless crypto then you probably want to rethink and save your capital and time.

You just pointed out super profitable holding but what about unprofitable. Many exchange-listed coins in 2017 traded below ICO price.

yes maybe for the coin, but will all the coins experience the same thing? I do not think so, so if you decide to buy a coin and hold it for a long time I think you are also making a bet for it, so I think daily and long-term trading, has the same risk.
