Hi everyone,
I am wondering if there is a quicker way to buy BTC than waiting the week + on coinbase?
I have a coinbase account but due to their ID Verification system being messed up I have to wait a week + for any BTC I buy.
This is immensely frustrating I just want to buy about .76 of BTC for a transaction and not wait forever.
Are there any quick exchanges?

Thanks

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

I think you can open an account on coinbase and then buy a btc from someone else and have them send it to you there or to blockchain

Ya , I can walk to www.getcoincafe.com from my place, or I can stay home and buy it online zero fee and the price is actual, and its instantly recieved. I use btc-e.com to convert btc to altcoins.   I wouldn't bother with btc-e.com due to the time it takes to send USD to the site and  to convert btc to USD, because of the long delay if ever of getting fiat back to my bank. If your in North America.. ya have to wait a long time

Localbitcoins.com can be the fastest. You can buy face-to-face with cash or make a cash bank deposit and have bitcoins in an hour (potentially).

There aren't really any quick exchanges because they have to verify your identify first.

bitstamp.net is very efficient at that. Don't go anywhere near gox.

If you want coins really quick, use localbitcoins.com

localbitcoins is super expensive... coin cafe is just as fast, and the price is in line with Bitstamp.

price of localbitcoins is not fixed. Every seller has a different price. I agree some ask ridiculous amounts but you just filter them out.

I'll take a look at coin cafe though.

getcoincafe.com looks good and quick, but the price is *not* equivalent to bitstamp. Currently bitstamp is $790 and coin cafe $843.

Do you know how to get an invite to be able to purchase with a debit card?
I live quite rural so it's a pain to go anywhere for WU and money orders and such unless there is a way to do that online?

Yeah, it's weird that they use a higher price. But when my transaction clears, it's always a lower price - in line with Bitstamp. Maybe they're just being conservative.

I haven't tried the debit card yet. But I've used cash deposit and it's super fast. I also sent them a big check once and it took a couple days to clear, but I got my coins immediately after that. It was a personal check too.

bitsimple.com.  spreads stink, but they do it right.

I still like having coinbase on standby but coincafe is now my primary.

Oh that's weird. The higher price they quote on the home page will put people off. Perhaps its not real-time price quote or something. Bitcoin was at $843 but that was like a couple of days back Wink
