In essence we should be more careful again in doing transactions or login through url link, make sure the original url link and add an additional key in the wallet that we use like google autitencantor or verification via email or no mobile phone that we use.

The wallets/exchanges etc just need to get better security. Hacking happens everywhere but crypto has bad security compared to banks etc.

The platforms that we use must constantly improve the means of protection. Each of us should closely monitor their data. Scammers constantly come up with new ways to get hold of our money, you need to be very careful.

There are lots of resources you can find on google on how to avoid crypto hacking. As for me, i am not connecting my device to any public wifi because it can also use by hackers as their ticket to enter on your device. With that said, saving sensitive information on your device is really not advisable.

I think that is very alaraming because our investments are in their hands.
We should demand to the companies that they must provide a strong security that can assure the investors security of their money.
That's why the centralized exchange are needed to be monitored by the government and regulators. to make sure the majority of them are increasing the security anytime. the hackers will always try to do any effort to hack the exchange site because it was containing a very huge money

Spread awareness to others about clicking of unusual websites and don't install software that they are not aware of.

Most of the hacks are occurring through exchanges so the best that we can do is not to store most of our coins there.

Just wanted to ask the opinion of many about these incidents happened this past few days, what can we do as common individuals to help prevent these tragedies? We have good opportunity on this field so I supposed everyone should take time to think about it.

Your opinion could help especially for us newbies, feel free to post a message thanks.
Most of the hacking incidents happen because of the mistake of the users, they don't care enough about their account security and in crypto the result is very bad as you can lose all your assets without the ability to get it back. To prevent it you can simply put more attention when you use your wallet, double check the url and don't click random link on the internet.

This is a very urgent topic. This is a very urgent topic. A few days ago my friend bought ETH for the first time. He transferred it to his MyEtherwallet. And the next day he was stolen. And he does not know how to steal his private key.

It would have been good if you had stated instances or situations of the hack. Yes, there were news of hack, but some were FUD.
I just read one today of bitpaction. A friend of mine said he lost his fund.
That is more reason i do not like most of these upcoming exchanges. Some of them are just scams.

MEW wallet incidents are mostly user fault either they have been phished or DNS redirected. But when talking about central exchanges hacking issue, i gues we cant do anything about it. Its a risk one will take when going and parking their coins in these exchanges.

For me the massive creation of the alternativecoins can be stopped
because I can’t see in any angle of this that they are doing against the regulations of this kind of business and industry.

I read more and more often people complaining that their wallet has been hacked. The first rule that each of us should respect not to see their money disappear, is to not give the private key of their wallet to anyone. Also you should not open suspicious email and you need to use a good quality antivirus

Recent incidents happened was the hacked of known exchanges so don't stack your Crypto on any exchanges, only put it on a secure wallet that you owned the private keys and don't open any links from chat group or links that are being spam on social medias because it could be a phishing site or malware that can harm your computer or get access to your private keys if you store it on the same computer or gadgets.
