Wallet Note: Because Gabencoin is so new it will take a while for the qt-wallet to find a block source, to solve this you need to directly add a node with the blockchain. To do this open gabencoin-qt.exe and go to the Help tab at the Top, then click debug window. Then click the console tab. Then type the command:
addnode 166.78.9.198 add
Then give it a minute and it should be able to sync up with the blockchain. Eventually this process will not be needed when more people adopt Gabencoin.

I've done the p2pool-code-adapty-thingy again and set up a node at http://gabencoin.p2p.0x0a.nl:57883 (0.9% fee); once again it is untested as of this moment because

1. the coin's testnet doesn't seem to work (genesis block fails)
2. difficulty is already too high for my max. 200 kH/s 'rig' to find a block, which p2pool needs to get started

.. though I'm fairly confident that it should work. (It's .. it's scrypt, right ?). If you want to verify the code or perhaps set up your own node, I've put up a diff for forrestv's p2pool git at http://gabencoin.p2p.0x0a.nl:57883/static/p2pool.gabencoin.patch :

Edit: Just received my pool coins, but still haven't received tip from Crackmacs.

I'm pretty sure from what he told me.. he mined solo on a forked blockchain that was not valid.
