MANO update 9/8/2018
Dear MANO Community,
MANO Shared Masternodes Platform.

Devs are working very hard to deliver the MANO-Shared part of the platform in the next weeks.
This will allow users who don’t have enough coins for a full masternode to team up and share a MN via the platform.
 Plan is to start with MANO and then add the other listed coins to the shared feature shortly thereafter.


MANO.Exchange.

Development on the MANO.exchange is also underway, although this is scheduled for launch in January / 2019.
This will allow users to buy and sell MANO as well as other listed coins directly from their masternodes.
We expect initial mockup and development by the end of this month!
2nd Exchange Listing.
As you know, we are in talks with Mercatox on ETA of listing. 
We are committed to listing on this exchange as soon we get a concrete ETA on listing date.
If this continues to drag over the next weeks we will assess an alternate 2nd exchange.


As you can see the Masternode Foundation is on an aggressive launch path with diverse yet interlinked product offerings around masternode management. We truly believe that if you can provide all masternode management tools in one place and make it simple and cost effective, the barrier for less knowledgeable users will be reduced so that the can also utilize the investment opportunity which is Masternode rewards.


As more and more of the products launch over the coming weeks you will also see some changes in the discord to reflect the growth of the project. The team needs to grow and evolve with the project to make sure all needs are met across MANO as a coin, MANO as a hosting platform for full and shared Masternodes, MANO as a Masternode ranking/listing/monitoring site and MANO as an exchange.

As part of this we would like to announce that @-Dwigt-  & @Towaberg  will become members of the MANO CORE team.
They will be in charge of coordinating the activities of the team behind the scenes and make sure each project is enabled.

MANO update 10/8/2018
Dear MANO Community,
this is an update regarding the “WATCHDOG_EXPIRED” status on MANO masternodes earlier today.

As some of you noticed, all masternodes started showing this new status after someone installed sentinel on their VPS.

For those who don’t know, sentinel is a piece of software that is required by some dash forks and its job is to check the node is online and updated.


MANO does not require sentinel to be installed for your masternode to get paid.

The “bug" is that when someone installs sentinel, all other nodes who don’t have it, show status “watchdog expired” instead of enabled.

You have nothing to worry about, you will still get payments regularly but until we release a new wallet update, the way for your node to show ENABLED again is to install sentinel for MANO.

In less than 3 hours we were able to identify the problem and port Sentinel from Dash to the MANO code and we have already updated all Masternodes hosted on MANO Host, changes are starting to show on the masternode tab of the wallet.

If you do not host your masternode on MANO host, we have created a script for you to install sentinel automatically:

Login to your VPS and paste the following line


wget -qO MANOsentinel https://mano.cx/sh/MANOsentinel.sh && sudo bash MANOsentinel

It will update your VPS, install required packages, install MANO sentinel, deploy it and add a crontab to make sure it’s checked every minute.

If you host your masternode on another platform, contact their support, they should have no issues setting sentinel for you.

And what would they achieve by that? The trust would be broken and project done. Do you think the team would put all the hard work into the projects for months and months just so they could run away with some shared coins? Doesn't make sense to me.

I can see your concern, as it will definitely disrupt the business model of providers currently offering shared MN services. However, they could potentially already disappear with your coins at any time.

If you are using a reputable provider they would have (in my opinion) proven their trustworthiness, as they are, and have been, responsible for what would be large sums of money if sold. But yes - as you have noted, there is an element of trust.
