and lost? On 96.2% chance of winning?

https://just-dice.com/roll/152097271

WTF?

Isn't that like 20% of the bankroll of the entire site they just lost? How come the site's profit is still so low?

He went all in with 6k BTC? Geez, that is nuts. I bet the website owners are pretty chuffed though.

On the date of that bet, BTC was about $200USD... so only 1.4M USD.

as he did win that money from the site before in a winning streak they did not realy "make" 6k btc that day. it was just a long series of probabilities ending in the expected outcome. the only money moved was his initial bet.

software gambling websites are rigged. As a programmer I could make the software do anything. watch your betting habits and then when you bit big you lose. I can also see how much btc you have in your local wallet and the one you sent from. So make the game play accordingly

Correction: "As a programmer I could make the closed source software do anything."

But to be fair to Caiapfas, he does have a point. I'm not saying that just-dice is doing this, but theoretically, a gambling company COULD insert fake dice rolls earlier in the gambling record, and especially if they only do it for a couple high-rollers, its EXTREMELY unlikely anybody would ever notice.

Because that account hasn't changed the secret yet. You need to click on random to get a new seed, then the old one gets published.

Also this particular player had loads more BTC than what he lost, of course it hurts, but it wasn't the end of the world. He told everyone not to worry about him.

I have to agree with this assumption 100%.

It doesnt matter which site I am on or which game I play. I like dice and roulette (and sometimes slots). I notice if I bet small amounts I win just fine. Example. 10mBTC > 20 mBTC > 40 mBTC then WIN. If I'm betting larger amounts I'll just lose and lose big. Example being 200 > 400 > 800 mBTC... LOSE.

Ive kept a log over the past month since I started and I am overall up a lot. Its all about money management, nothing else. Theres no holy grail as far as Im concerned and when betting larger amounts, the computer really makes sure you lose Smiley

The reason against rigging gambling websites is that you can make more money in the long term simply by being the house.

There's no need to cheat in games that you have already rigged in your favour and have gamblers playing anyway.

Lack of thinking was the thinking. Or simple addiction. There are a huge number of gambling addicts around. Just most don't have $7M lying around. Most are broke.

Being an addict of gambling or drugs is a disease - it doesn't "serve him right."  You could say maybe losing will help him recover eventually (by stopping gambling), but he's not inherently a bad person.
