i'm rig owner, rented for the first time for 1 day, about 3 hour to expiry. so far my rig perform well, as expected. no problem with reject/hw/stale. in other words, around 2-3% reject/stale, and zero HW. i don't think pool/betarigs will cause any HW, its probably your own cgminer setting.

I have a tiny suggestion thou:
as my rig is expiry soon, i'm thinking, maybe its good idea to have the option for renter to "renew" rent period. let's say the renter is happy with my rig performance, he can choose to renew the rent near the expiry by making new offer price and time period of renewal, and the rig owner will be notify, and to choose to accept the offer or not. With this, the renter can continue to mine at the pool without interruption, downtime and the hassle to look for a new rigs again with unknown performance, and the rig owner also don't need to worry about putting up new ads again and rig down time.

ps: if this already been implemented or being suggested, just ignore me. cause i haven't go through the whole forum thread Tongue

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Also, I just noticed. There is no way to change account password?
I picked up a keylogger from somewhere and lost 0.1 BTC. So I would like to change my most important passwords...

Has anyone had luck using this for Scrypt/A N Factor rental?

I'm using Vertminer v0.5.3 and was watching as the rental started. I waited a few minutes for it to switch to the BetaRigs pool, but it never did. I had another rental of a Scrypt rig (using CGminer) and that changed over no problem.

Is this a problem with Vertminer, or betarigs? Is it a requirement to use a failover parameter in the config? I ask because CGminer didn't require this.

Cheers!

The rigs show offline until you start cgminer/sgminer with betarigs pool in the config
After you do that it will show avalable for renting

I swear there is something wrong with combining 2 payments into 1 and sending them to bitstamp or how ever that is done

This is the 2nd time I got 2 renters, both of them renting my #1 rig for 3 hours same day, but only one of these payments goes through to bitstamp, even though I sent an email to bitstamp showing them txid, they said this is 3rd party fault, not theirs.

I saw someone posting something like this 3-4 pages back??

exactly same probleme here

If no one rented your rig the betarigs pool will show as dead. As soon as payment clears after renting the pool will come alive and miner switches to it.
So, until someone rents your rigs the betarigs pool will be dead

are you using sgminer or newer cgminer? I think they have a problem reconnecting/checking "dead" pools and therefore will never switch back to betarigs.

I am having the same issue and talked to the sminer/cgminer guys already..

Annoying that I can't get my single 0/10 rating removed even when Betarigs can confirm that the renters pool was unstable and my rig was mining throughout that rental.

I've replied to the feedback, but would be on the front page if it wasn't for this.

Maybe use an offline wallet for the cost of the TX. I am using my wallet and sending everything to the exchange when I want to cash out. I never had problems and I think I had a few combined payments.

Give it a try

I'm using cgminer.

Then it might be a problem on betarigs side. I didn't and don't have this problem. And I have switched between sgminer, cgminer, vertminer, bfgminer and the 3.7.3 cgminer for Keccak.
Right now I use cgmner 3.7.1 that comes with BAMT 1.1. I was lazy to compile the 3.7.2 version back then and now I am lazy to see if the latest BAMT version works on my rig.
