According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

As a seller, you actually don't receive any money from the buyer, the title or escrow company does. In the US, the title or escrow company of the buyer's choosing is actually the party that would need to accept BitCoin to facilitate any real estate transaction with BTC. Unless a buyer is willing to purchase property on the word of the seller without searching or insuring the transaction or what he/she is buying. That's a very foolish move.

I represent a nationwide title company that will publicly announce in February that we are accepting BitCoin for the purchase of real estate. We are the first in the US that can truly facilitate a real estate transaction with BitCoin. No real estate broker or seller receives money from any buyer for property in the US. Stories you see about them "accepting BitCoin" are publicity stunts. We are able to handle these transactions now.

When we launch in February, you will also be able to list your property on our site, the first real estate title/escrow company accepting BitCoin.

I'd be happy to help insure a buyer for you and make this transaction happen in BTC!

No title or escrow company is needed to purchase real estate in the United States. I've bought houses at a trustee's sale (Auction) with a cashier's check in under five minutes.

By law, a title or escrow company cannot list or broker properties.

If your company accepts bitcoins PM me!

Greetings All,

I'd like to announce this gorgeous 32 acre estate is for sale in Bitcoin! We have this listed currently with Keller Williams Realty for USD related inquiries but I'm the man to speak with, for a Bitcoin offer. I currently reside on the Estate and I can answer any questions or even do a live video walk through for any qualified and interested party. Please contact me if you'd like to consider making an offer and want to know more.

I'm close to launching a trust-free escrow and real estate listing web application. PM if interested. I have a seller with a similarly priced property in the Pacific Northwest. I have a Bitcoin Real Estate group: https://www.linkedin.com/groups/Bitcoin-Real-Estate-6540665/about

We have similar thread at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=450268.new#new

Too bad there isn't more offers! Hoping to make some history here! I don't think there's been a major sale like this that's actually happened in BTC before. Just small ones.

This is a real sale people, motivated seller. We just need some real offers.

Can't bid 275 when there's already a 400 bid!

How about a 4500 bid?

This is a much better way to see the property. It's more detailed and nicer to look at than Zillow.

Hey, you're right across town from me. It's a little out of my price range, but this is a great town. I'd be glad to help a new owner set up massive mining (or growing) operations. Power is cheap here, internet is fast, all kinds of fun toys are legal Smiley

Ya, I'm pretty amazed at the guns they'll let you own in Oregon, haha. Silenced, full auto, ect.

Home protection not a problem!

Not sure how you're coming up with a number like that. Property taxes are extremely cheap in this area, utilities depend on you and furnishings are not going to cost anything like that unless you like your stuff made out of solid gold...
