I was out of gambling for a while because of my emotional gambling nature.
I try to do sports betting as mathematical as possible but often I get overwhelmed by loss.
I had decided not to bet above $100 on any bet.
Germany being my favorite team, I put a $500 bet against Mexico, which I lost.
That increased my frustration and I came to bet $1000 on portugal. And to my luck I won it at 1.65 odds.
But if I would have lost, I would have been cashless and betless for the rest of world cup.

You should feel lucky that you where able to recover the lost amount and made some profit out of it. Now do not spend those whole amount on betting unless you have extra money and can afford to lose it. Just if you cannot control yourself only play with those extra profit.

We know that everything here is up to the experience and your luck and besides it other managements are also contributing for your survival but winning of game is just depending upon the experience and luck. If a person is not doing well then he should stand away from the table for some time and should think how things work and after getting some experience his winning chances will increase.

The worst thing about gambling is it is all based on luck. You can’t just make anything good in a day when you’re not luck. Then why to adopt something that is all pledged over luck. Better is to understand this fact and quit gambling because if this isn’t your lucky day today, you are up to see a big loss coming towards you. So choice is all yours. Before I realized all gambling does is give you some thrills and fun, I was into it for money. Yeah I know it sounds silly now but at the time I really tough I could win it all and now looking back on it I realize it is silly and stupid. At the time I didn't know what martingale was and how it could lose you everything but I saw it as something that might work.

This is not always a result when it comes to gambling because when theres already an authority involved then most likely they do arrest the owner of the said gambling place where they do operate without any license or illegally which its normal for government to do such act and for those gamblers had been caught out then they might be used as a witness or any other purpose but playing gambling itself isn't an illegal thing unless if your country prohibits gambling then you are definitely going to prison because of violation.

This is a clear example of how gambling could be tricky, exciting and horrible. Imagine having the amount of 2.2 BTC at this time, you could consider yourself fortunate already but again because of gambling you have also loss that consideration. Gambling could be really fun especially when your are winning but we must also remember that in a blink of an eye, the amount that we have won could disappear.

I also gambling but seldom only and sometimes a month would passed before I gamble again. If I were in your place, 2.2 BTC would have been keep in my wallet. That amount will be the start of me investing more in bitcoin.

I am happy that I have no interest in Football  so there is no question of betting on these matches.

I had some interest in cricket in past but I never made any bet on them also using nay betting website. Now I hardly  get time to even see any sports so betting is not an option for me.

As much as I have actually considered trying to do some sport betting based on how vast I am most especially in soccer, I have never really ended up having that zeal but I feel if I actually do, I may be making a lot since most of the time with discussion, I have gotten a lot of predictions right as to how games can turn out, but I would say such prediction is easy without betting anyway.

I just have that thing with betting and gambling since I was a kid with a relative of mine being a huge addict, and knowing how things ended up for him, it was such a pathetic one I would not even wish my enemy to pass through or experience.

It's impossible that you didn't win. Probably you did win but just bet it again and as you continue, lost every winning gamble that you have. I think trading is the substitute for that but you have to be patient in what you are using and be vigilant with other factors like news and stuff like that because it could drive the price up or down. Gambling is chances, and losing has a higher chance because of the edge of the casino.

It's a dangerous habit, but it's a habit non the less so if you can't avoid it, it's better to try to control it. A good way is to put yourself limits. For example time limit if you play active games like Poker,BJ,slots etc etc. You can say 1 hour for example and then you go home,or 2 hours or just anything that you can stick to without crossing the line. Other good strategy is to put yourself profit/losses limit. For example tell yourself : "I start with $100. I either make them $200 and leave or make them $0 and leave". Don't get too greedy because in the end "the house always wins" and don't get too desperate and risk more and more money. Tell yourself "tomorrow is a different day. Things will be better. Don't lose too much today.". It is better to avoid that gambling loophole in general, but if you are stuck in it and don't plan on leaving - then learn to control yourself as much as possible and avoid tilting at all costs.

Yeah and the reason is that a gambler has no respect in society and all the people hate him even his family do not like a him. Controlling for a regular and addicted gambler is very hard but it is possible to stop gambling gradually. Strong determination is needed to quit gambling addiction. It is hard but not impossible. You did a wrong thing. You made profit from mining and lost in gambling, it means you lost time and money. That is the reason that gambling is treated negatively everywhere in the world. Anyway like you I lost one time in regular casino and quit gambling forever, because I knew the consequences of gambling. Before losing everything I quit gambling.

I quit gambling long time ago when I was on the verge of becoming an addictive gambler. I used to gamble regularly with my friends and I found it entertaining until it started to affect my studies and social life. Then, I tried to reduced my gambling activities.

Then, I got rid of it completely as I got used to the new routine. It was hard from the beginning, but then you will get used to it because your time is filled up with other various activities

I am also like that before, I can't continue my life if I can't play gambling in a day, I always invited my friends, cousins and also siblings to play with me and bet, they also want it too because they are also just like me, when I finally notice that I am losing and just wasting my time every day, every single day of my life is just a waste of time, I am thinking to have another activity to have, then after that I also reduce my gambling games every day, until I totally stop playing with them.  For now, I sometimes play but not that addicted just like before.

I think the people who overcome gambling in this life are blessed with the best because very less people are seen on real life who actually have made a victory against gambling because majority of the people return after facing a very bad defeat from gambling and that defeat doesn’t allows them to stand up for the next shot and compete for their survival.

I agree with your thinking but I personally think that there is a very little ratio of such people, maybe so little that we can easily neglect them. Long time ago I have a friend who was a government employee. With the passage of time he started betting on cricket and football matches and gradually he became addicted. Now he is complete gambler and the most dislike person in my community. People keep distance from him. He is the most bad character person in the community.

For me, its better if you do trading compare to gambling because gambling is pure luck while trading is the combination of knowledge and emotion. I put myself in gambling too around 3-4 years ago and got addicted but not that addicted. We all have faced similar issues and here are some suggestions :

1) What is your schedule other than gambling ? You should try to keep yourself as much busy as you can. I was addicted to gambling for quite some time and I ignored everything else that time. Now I have so much work, I have completely forgot about those websites.

2) Most people lear after goign through the suffering. You have the chance to learn from mistakes of others.
