Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

k99, you're delusional. technically this is just a load of hokus pokus with 1-2 interesting ideas, which will simply not work in the short term. I would be willing to bet some BTC against the claims made, if it would be even clear what those claims are. What is a DAC exactly? I'm an expert in financial contracts, and from that point of view this is just amateurish. On top of that some people involved are being very dishonest. I haven't released that information, but it should be obvious that asking for north of 10 million dollars is delusional and dishonest. Vitalik is a very bright young guy, and should not ruin his reputation this way.
